You are bidding on a lot of 27 antique dog figurines. They were part of my grandmothers collection. She was the original owner. There are too many different kinds of dogs to research and describe each one, so I tried to include as many pictures as possible to show what you are bidding on. These are all dog figures from the 1950s to 1970s, mostly from Japan. They are all glass, marble, ceramic, plastic, wood, etc. Most of them are in good condition, but some have some imperfections, like a chipped ear, leg, or tail. At the end, I included close up pictures the 2 larger dogs in the back. One with its mouth open and the other with a bone in its mouth. Those 2 have"Occupied Japan" on the bottom of the figure, which I also included a picture of. Early 1800s 3 Piece Brass & Marble Girandole Set with Mantle Lustres and Candles
Be sure to add me to your! This EARLY 1800'S ELEGANT 3 PIECE GIRANDOLE SET consists of two end pieces for two candles and a third piece with three candleholders. The bases for each of the three pieces are white mottled(with grey and black) marble. The candleholders are brass(nonmagnetic) embellished with brass figures: The two end candleholders have a sitting deer with five point antlers at the base; the middle piece with three candleholders has a hunter figure at the base. This appears to be an early Indian. All three pieces are topped with round brass candleholders. Five in all; each has 10 styalized brass leaves extending out and draping down. A cut-glass crystal mantle llustre is attached to the tip of each leaf, 50 large shimmering crystal mantle lustres in all. The diameter for each candleholder with decoration is 3 1/2 inches. ... moreEach hanging lustre with hanger reflects 12 prismatic surfaces. Many with beveled edges. The crystal hangers measure 1 1/8 by 7/8 inches with the hanging prisms measuring 7/8 by 5 3/4 inches. There are small chips on the crystals. The two end brass candleholders stand 13 1/2 inches tall with mottled marble bases measuring 3 1/2 bh 5 3/4 by 1 1/8 inches. The brass deer figures. Facing opposite directions on each end, measure 4 1/2 inches long by 5 inches at the highest point. Behind each is a styalized stalk with branches which extends up to form the round candleholder. The middle grandiole stands 16 inches tall with a mottled marble base measuring 4 by 6 by 1/18 inches. Its' total length is 16 inches long The two arms of the three-candleholder stand 11 1/2 inches high. The brass hunter figure stands 6 1/2 inches high. All of the brass has not been polished. All the figures are three dimentional. But display only half of the figure. The decorative silver-colored glass candles have a 3/4 inch diameter and have a silver color with a flame red top; 3 candles are 10 inches. One is 9 inches. Other candles could be used with the set. Of strong Neoclassical influence, probably designed in the first quarter of the 20th Century. It rests over a mottled red marble base sitting over a wooden apron. Hollywood Regency Mid Century Modern Up for auction is a nice set of 3 vintage 1960's or 1970's nesting/stacking tables in good vintage condition. The legs are beautifully tapered wood. The tops have a Formica faux marbalized finish and around each table top is a faux inlaid design. Individually they stand 15 inches high and the diameter of each top is 17 inches. These are in good used condition, the tops appear to be almost like new. The legs just have a few minor rubs but a little Formby's should take care of those. Some of the brass tops(one is a little dented) on the legs are tarnished with age and could be cleaned with a brass cleaner or a very fine steel wool. But all in all the tables look great. LARGE WOOD BRASS AND MARBLE TOP APOTHECARY SCALE with several weights
UP for auction is a large apothecary scale. The trays are brass. Top is marble. Nice solid wood box with numerous weights- see pics. I dont believe the scale is calibrated. But can probably be fixed. This vintage scale is 18" in length, 6" high, and 7" wide approximately. There is only one weight missing as far as i can see, but there are weight chips and a tong included as well. I did not clean or polish it, though it would clean up quite nicely. The small weight box with lid has some scratches- see pics. I will ship insured and well packaged. VERY COOL old Apothecary Scale Please look at the photos CAREFULLY and read below Unsure of the exact make of this piece. It is heavy.made of wood and has a marble top. It needs a cleaning.but seems to be in very good shape for the age. Inside looks good.the scale seems to work(i have no weights for it) Photo 3 shows the inside of the scale. Its a nice green. There are some wee little numbers or letters and i can not really make them out. if you look at the photo you can see the bars closest to the edge there is some silver showing.thats where the marks are. they are on both sides and tiny tiny. Photo 4 is the underneath of the marble. Has some writing or numbers on it Photo 5 is the bottom of the wooden box. Looks like it had something on it at one point. Photo 6 is the prongs that hold the plates. One of the prongs is broken at the base. ... morePhotos 7 + 8 Are the faces of the weight windows. still have glass. The frame around it has a few dings. says PORTER on the top with a 2 in the center and on the bottom says KILOG Photo 9 shows the markings on the inside of the brass plates. This table was customed designed for supporting and displaying a heavy statue sculpted from solid marble. It was custom made for supporting the considerable weight of the statue hence the reason for having 5 legs on a pentagon shaped table. 1960s Marble Composite Side Table Mid Century Hollywood Regency Provincial
This is a wonderful little side table with a marble composite top and base. I am guessing marble composite because the pattern seems very even. It has carved. Gold-color wood separate the two making for a beautiful and elegant table. It measures 19" tall x approximately 15" diameter. This came from an estate full of 1960s Hollywood Regency furniture.
