This saw came from a major US shoe manufacture and it was used in their wood shop and not in a manufacturing environment. This unit was at the company as long as any can remember. It was inside their toolroom in an air conditioned dehumidified environment. The building where she was sitting was undergoing remodeling and they had to relocate. There was not enough room in the new location for this saw. The saw was reported to be working when removed. We brought the unit into our shop and our shop manager spent an hour going over the saw and testing it the best he could with out having a blade. Yates American Tilting Table Saw This unit is very heavy and works properly. It currently has a 14" blade in it. But will take a 16" blade. It is a 3 phase and has a 5 hp motor in it. We also have extra blades that go with it in this sale. The estimated weight is about 2000lbs. We have the means to be able to load it on a trailer. It is a vintage machine and works very well. Here we have for your consideration an YATES AMERICAN 24" wood planer-B-4. R7952. This is an early wood planer which I've owned for many years but have never actually used it! It just sits here in my barn begging for someone to restore it? I have no knowledge of this antique machine to offer except that it was working 32 years ago for the previous owner! It's showing it's age with lots of old paint loss and surface rust on most of it and some clutter surrounding it which is now gone since my past photo's! It's 220/440 volts, 3 phase, 3600 rpm, 7 1/2 hp induction motor. 3 extra new knives in the original shipping crate and a new shaft with bronze bearings also in the original shipping crate! Yates American model#B244 Planer. This planer has a 7.5 HP motor. 3 phase power that operates at 220 or 440 volts. It has a 24 inch wide deck and can handle material with a maximum thickness of 8 inches. The machine is missing the handle found on the wheel that raises and lowers the deck. A wood deflector was also added to the top to divert the wood shavings. The knives are sharp and suitable for immediate use. The machine weighs over 2000lbs.
