1967 TV JONES-MODIFIED GRETSCH CLIPPER
Bought this 1967 Gretsch Clipper on ebay. It had no electronics. Brought it to my friend TV Jones who added two of his Filter-Tron Pickups. Tune-a-matic bridge and Bigsby. I think he put in new frets too. Neck had been reset by previous owner. Binding in good shape but heel cover has cracks from shrinkage. The center seam on the back of the headstock is visible. A stately clipper ship in the harbor, and a country scene with two Georgian homes by a lake, all painted on a hard steel saw blade, as was the custom. VINTAGE 1869 Wooden Cutty Sark Clipper Ship Accurate Completed 26" X 22" Model Beautiful VINTAGE 1869 Wooden Cutty Sark Clipper Ship. Model. This model of the Cutty Sark is a elegant masterpiece. I measures 26" long X 22" tall and is very well done in detailing hull and rigging. The base of the ship is made of solid wood. As is the stand. The Main Deck features a the captains steering wheel at the back. The front and back deck have guard rails. There are 2 housing structures, one most likely being the entrance to below. There are 2 cocked boats/extra row boats. There is what appears to be a keg, and a bell at the front of the ship. These all appear to made from plastic. The Posts(Foremast, Mainmast, Mizzenmast) are made of wood. The sails are made of what appears to be starched cloth, they are stiff to hold effect, linking ... morethem together is string, very detailed. The front of the stand reads"Cutty Sark, 1869" on a black and gold plaque. As for the condition: I don't know much about these pieces as I acquired it at an estate sale so I don't know if it is absolutely 100% complete. Some of the strings are loose and hanging. But all structures seem to be firm and well put together, except it is a tiny bit wobbly on it's base. 1951 Rare Mens GRUEN 'CLIPPER' Square BUMPER AUTOMATIC Gold 10k gf Vintage Watch
PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR LARGE PHOTOS TO LOAD 1951 Mens Gruen Precision Bumper Automatic Vintage Watch. The Clipper Model. Here we have a very handsome and rare mens watch from the world renowned. Swiss Watch Company, Gruen. The watch is original and signed by Gruen on the Case, Dial and Movement. The watch dates to 1951 and is in excellent condition. This is best noted for the rare squared style case which is scarcely seen in an automatic, let alone a rare 475 bumper automatic. It also has a fancy quad angled pointed crystal. It is fully working and keeping good time. This model was named the"Clipper" by Gruen as researched through Identification books. When you pick this piece up you can feel the quality and weight in it- a true classic. The Gruen signed case has a very nice squared design with thick sweeping bevelled edges around ... morethe entire bezel and rounded corners. On each corner it has the lugs which are a in a semi tear drop style. The sides and ends are also slightly arched. The whole case is a shiny. Deep and rich 10k gold fill showing very little use at all. I can see no rub to the gold, even on the lug backs. The back is fully signed inside by Gruen including case and model numbers. It measures approx 38mm x 28mm inc lugs. The Gruen signed dial is a silver tone with a black outer minute chapter and set of raised gold deco numbers and fancy triangle studs which are luminum filled at the hour positions. The 6 position has a deep set sub second dial with a black markings. It is signed Gruen Precision below the 12 and auto wind above the sub seconds. It is in excellent condition with just a couple of tiny specks. The lucite crystal is perfect and has a quad angle design rising to a point in the centre. This is why some details of the dial may appear distorted in the photos. The watch has its original. Gruen signed 475 Grade BUMPER automatic winding movement which is fully working and keeping time This movement has a 18000BPH rating and an incabloc shock resistant balance. This is a nice old pair of cast iron book ends. They are 4 1/4" high. 4 1/4" across and 1 1/2" wide. I see no maker's marks. There is a tiny bit of red rust that can be seen in the pictures. They hae tiny felt pcs. on the bottom. Condition is good! Thanks for looking!
