This auction features a very nice vintage 4-position rotary switch. Extracted from a 1920's-1930's AM tube radio. The switch is enclosed in a interestingly-shaped black plastic/celluloid/bakelite housing, with the switch hardware exposed within the back. This switch is visually very attractive and in good cosmetic condition. The black casing/housing is nice and shiny. With no scratches or flaws. The brass switch stem, hex nut, and threaded stem casing all have a very nice patina. I have not checked the switch for electrical functionality, but the switch clicks nicely in all four positions when the stem is turned. I bought this many years ago at a tag sale. I do not know what it was used for. But I thought it was cool and maybe someday I would use it for something, but never did. It has 10 separate"Micro Switch" singe-pole single-throw roller switches mounted above a rotatable camshaft, and each lobe can be set for the desired timing. I have tested all the switches and they work. The switches have numbers on them, below one screw terminal is 800231, and above the other screw terminal is 10-65. I'm sure this is a vintage piece.

Here is an old Hart rotary wall switch from the early 20th century. It is complete. With no cracks in the porcelain. Switch has not been load-tested, but the mechanical action seems to work as it should. This switch had been painted brown at one time. Vintage Rotary Switch, Large Heavy Duty, Bakelite1940's Willard Atlas 11 Poles
Have a look at this Large Bakelite. Brass studs, contacts, rotary switch, with a 2-1/4 inch selector knob. From a 1940's Willard. Or Atlas battery charger. We know they're not made like this now and will not be. There are two circuits in the switch which make good continuity through each selection. All off is counterclockwise. First circuit closes a set of independent contacts in positions 1 through 11. And open in off. Second circuit closes in each of 11 positions. And open in off position. Outside diameter is approx.5-1/4 inches. From back to front face is 2 inches high. From back side to top of knob is 3-1/2 inches overall. Vintage switch in fair condition.drags or sticks a little when turning to 3 position. It needs a cleaning which I think is the reason for the drag. Has a ding as seen in the photos. The base is 2 5/8" in diameter and stands off mount 2 1/8"
