1920’s Castle Cone Cast Iron Tube Radio Speaker bronze Tower Mfg. Co. vintage
Presented for Auction is one(1) 1920's Tower castle. Free-standing cast iron frame cone speaker made by Tower Mfg.Co. Boston, Mass. This medieval castle design speaker is made of cast iron coated with a two-tone bronze finish. The Tower name is cast into the base between the two herald trumpet players. The speaker frame finish appears to be all original and is in very good condition with only very mild scuffs. Scratches and corrosion. The horseshoe magnet assembly is intact and the coil checks out at 1000 ohms. The paper cone shown is the original but in very poor condition and is no longer attached to the magnet assembly(please see pictures) The cloth covered speaker cord appears to be the original and has both connection pins attached.
