Vintage early 70's Ampeg VT-40 top load guitar amp
VINTAGE AMPEG VT-40 GUITAR AMP up for auction. If you are viewing this. You already know their reputation and what famous rockers used these amps. Everything on this amp is in very good working condition. The potentiometers and rocker switches have just been cleaned, providing consistently noise-free operation. The reverb and the reverb foot switch are both in good working order. To the best of my knowledge, everything is original(except for one top adjustment knob for which the replacement is an exact match) including all four square-backed speakers. The only obvious flaw is the staining on the grill. There are some small cuts in the vinyl covering. The amp will be shipped with 3/4" plywood protecting the speakers in the front of the amp(ok. Early 50's Gibson GA40 Tube Amplifier We just got this beauty in the shop last week and put a few dollars into fixing it. The cable for the vibrato pedal looked like someone had been chewing on it and one of the channels wasnt working properly. We added a new cable(left the original one in case you'd like it) and replaced the tube responsible for the channel not working with a NOS tube meant for the GA40's. We had to replace a few capacitors. But left the old ones in there as well so you had them. This amp sounds AMAZING now! There are a few scratches/tears on the amp, but for an amp this old, it is in incredible shape. Feel free to call us with any questions you may have to get an immediate response!

I have owned this amp since new. Can't recall what year I purchased but I would put it in the early to mid 90s. Testing it out. I forgot how much fun it was to really get this thing cranked up! Seymour Duncan created this amp from the classic tube amp design. The EL 84 was chosen because of he superior tone quality. Especially when pushed to overdrive. this amp has a straight forward design. The Clean channel bright, punchy and responsive and highly flexible. The overdrive channel delivers a great blues tone to modern solo quality. This two channel amp has a very effective 3-band EQ that allows you can dial in any tone you need, especially with channel 1. A real long tank spring reverb tubed with(4) EL84s and(3) 12AX7 tubes. Rated at 40+ watts. Handmade in the USA. 2- Footswitchable channels. Gets nice and loud. Channel one has level ... moreand volume controls along with(pull) bright and boost function. Channel two has separate level and volume controls and a(pull) boost. The two channels share another(pull) boost. Reverb is drippier on this channel but can be dialed in to taste on either channel. This amp does have some minor background noise and a few cosmetic imperfections here and there. But it's a real workhorse with lots of cool tones. This is an all tube Seymour Duncan combo amplifier. These were made in the early 90's. And they have a great tone to them, as well as being workhorses. It is in the famed EL84 style, giving it a very warm British rock tone. The amp fires right up and has had a three prong cable attatched so it's modern and safe. Appears totally original except for maybe input jack and on/off switch. The speaker has a handwritten date of 4-8-58 but the amp is much older. That could be a recone date. The speaker frame has a code: 11910. Speaker sounds awesome, no crackles or strange noises, tight bright notes. Tubes appear original or era correct and they are all working excellent with no crackling or odd noises. Used Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue in perfect condition. This amp was given to me as a Christmas gift by my wife. I love it but I never use it. It has roughly 8-10 hours of use and sounds great. There are no scratches. Tears, or blemishes anywhere. The switch petal has never been used and the cord is still factory wrapped. I'm throwing in an OmniSonic volume control box as well. These help you get the warm true tube tone you get at 4 or 5 but without the volume. I used it through the effects loop and it worked great. This amp has an amazing clean tube sound and will also get a nice overdrive sound on the drive channel. I own four Fender amps and this one gets as good a sound as my other ones. Lapsteel needs tlc cleaning and new strings IT WORKS. Original cord included but is dry rotted. Tone nob? fell off(easy fix) Case is original and shows its age. Amp has been plugged in and fires up but thats about it. Amps original leather handle included but rotted off. Original amp cover is included but shows its age. Vintage 80's Roland Super Cube 40 Amp
Up for sale is this powerful Roland Super Cube 40 amp. I've had this for several years and hardly ever used it much. It does have a little dust from sitting but everything on it works fine and is pretty powerful for a little amp. It was used mostly by my trumpet instructor. Then by me for micing a trumpet or flugelhorn, but has never really been"cranked" all the way loud. Was usually used in restaurant gig situations,etc. Has 2 channels, one of"normal" and one of"overdrive"overdrive was never used/played thru) 2 gains, a master volume, bass,mids, treble, reverb knob. On the back has reverb footswitch jack, stack in/out, exterior speaker output jack, and headphone jack. This has the old fashioned"tube" type reverb also. This thing still sounds great, but I really have a small PA system I'm playing ... morethru or a small monitor I use now so no need for this amp,etc. Since this weighs over 25lbs without packaging I can also send this boxed/packaged via Greyhound bus if desired. This amp is in excellent condition. It has only been used a handful of times in a recording studio. And has never been to a gig. It has been stored inside a flight case. This amp sounds amazing and has classic 6V6 sound. Everything works perfectly and there have never been any issues/repairs with the amp. The tubes, speakers, and everything are all original. As indicated in the pictures, there is some scuffing on the corner and a small nick in the tolex, but other than that there are no cosmetic issues either. This amp sounds seriously great. 1995 Fender Blues Deluxe 40 Watt Tube Amp NOT REISSUE
Here is a nice clean example of the original Fender Blues Deluxe. They started making these in 1993. This is a 1995 and is not one of the current reissues. This is a more rare version of the blues deluxe as it features blonde tolex and an oxblood grill cloth instead of the more common tweed versions. This particular amp sounds amazing. This all original specimen pushes a roaring 40 watts of power to an 8 ohm 12" speaker. It has been played but well groomed so the speaker is nice and broken in although its never really been pushed anywhere near its limits. Paul Reed Smith PRS Sweet 16 Plus Custom Amp Design 40 Watts Hand Wired 6L6 Tone
Up for you consideration we have a hand wired Paul Reed Smith Sweet 16 Plus from the Custom Amp Design department. The Sweet 16 Plus has 2 6L6 tubes instead of the normal 6V6. Giving it a power rating of around 40 watts. It has a master volume, and the tone on this amp is absolutely wonderful even at very low volume. I couldn't quite figure out what this tone was, so I called PRS and asked a few questions. They told me the transformer was a Pro Reverb style and the tone stack was set up like a Vox/Liverpool Trainwreck. It has kind of a Fender flavor clean, then when you run the volume(gain) up it goes to something else, I think that's where the Vox/ Liverpool/ Trainwreck comes in. It is not exactly that but is has it's own thing happening. That description is just to give you some sort of reference. The bottom line is the amp ... morehas a really great boutique tone that seems to have some versatility and also takes pedals extremely well. So far I have tried a few Les Pauls, a 90 Firebird, some really nice Telecaster and Strats, and it works equally well with all of them. It seems to love single coils as well as humbuckers. When I purchased it I believe it was around 1799.00 new, and I tried it out against a regular Sweet 16, and the Plus just cleaned house! Hate to let it go but I have too many that I don't play, so I am going to thin the herd a bit. About everything else is vintage so I have to decide what's next on the list. I mostly do the acoustic thing. There is very little info out there on this 40 watt version, but I did find some really interesting stuff you may want to check out about this amp on the web.
