It has foot controls. forward and reverse of the cable rotation. I have used it to clean out drains in the floor without any problems. the machine will rotate the cable and all you have to do is feed the cable in the drain. I do not have the cable feeding tube that is shown on the picture on amazon. It did not have it when i bought it. I found it works fine with out it.
