Victorian Coal Hod This 19th Century coal hod is made of mellow wood with a nice grain and has handsome brass or bronze fittings. They have a nice patina which I was unwilling to remove just to find out which metal alloy was used. The unusual strap hinges bear an image of a face and above this is a registration number: Rd. 231388. The handle on top is marked Pat. 11065. Measuring 16 inches by 12 inches by 10 inches high(not including handle) This coal hod has a bracket on the back to hold a scoop. The piece is in very good condition overall, but there is minor wear to the edges of the wood, as can be seen in the photographs. The metal liner is intact and in good condition. It looks to be well made. I'm told it could be Pearwood. It has brass/ bronze collars to strengthen the push joints. I was told it's style is'Baroque' and the chromed finger lever is bronze. But I have not got a clue how you can tell. It has been used and there are a few handling/ use marks and the odd nick. The chrome has lifted in spots on the finger lever. I can also see some minor teeth marks on the under mouth piece and the top has varnish missing.I feel this all adds to the character of a well loved and practically used instrument. But we believe it to be American, c. 1880-90. The box is made of wood covered with a dark wood veneer and decorated with brass or bronze fittings in classical geometric motifs. The center of the lid has a bronze boss featuring a woman wearing a helmet. Perhaps Athena. Included is a pair of cream colored women's gloves decorated with eyelets and pearls. In great condition. The body of the box itself shows some wear from its long life. The dark wood veneer has cracked in some places. And a chip is missing on the lid. There are a few tacks missing from the bronze fittings. The silk lining has largely disintegrated, so the box is ready to be relined, which could be a fun project! ... moreThe lock is missing a key. Sevres Faience Pottery Green and Turquoise Flambé Urn by Paul Millet Faience urn and lid with bronze dor é base. Flange and and finial. Gorgeous green and turquoise flambé glaze typical of Paul Millet's work for Sevres in the 1920s. Marked MP Sevres inside the lid. I believe this to be a pre-1920 mark. Measures 13"h including the lid and finial and 5 1/2"d at its widest part. In overall good condition considering its size and age. The vase itself is free from cracks. Chips and the glaze is highly glossy, with the exception of a single patch where there is some abrasion to the glaze. The lid was broken into four pieces and glued back together but is all accounted for and could be professionally repaired. All of the bronze fittings are intact and free from dents, dings. etc. Exquisite.

This katana was purchased several years ago for around 95$. I am unsure of the actual model of it but I have taken good care of it and kept it relatively sharp. However I am soon going to be unable to care for the sword properly and would appreciate it if somebody more passionate about such things would assume ownership of it. I have taken a liking to more practical wares and have decided to sell this katana for less than it's worth. Nothing extra is included, just the original packaging which includes it's wooden sheath, nylon case, and box. It has never rusted and I have only ever cut bottles and mats with it, so the edge should be true. The katana is basically brand new. The sheath has one minor nick on it when it fell from the sword rack I kept it on, but it isn't that big of a deal as new sheaths can be purchased and this ... moreis not really a collector's piece anyway. It is a well built katana though, with a solid blade that is fitted to the handle with two bamboo pegs. Many budget katana's claim to only have one peg, but this one has two pegs and therefore will be very solid when and if you decide to cut things with it.

It measures 62 x 45 x 37cm and has a flecked bronze and gold lacquer decorated finish with brass fitting and two carrying handels. I am led to believe that it dates from the 19th century however. For auction are two large vintage brass/bronze plumbing fittings. They are in great used condition with no cracks and have some oxidation. The larger fitting is 5' and 1/4" inches long and 4" and 3/4" inches high. The threaded openings have an inner diameter of 2" and 3/8" inches. The smaller fitting is 4" and 1/2" inches long with a height of 4" and 3/4" inches. The threaded opening has an outer diameter of 1" and 1/2" inches.
