antique brass steam engine manual pressure relief valve
I believe this is a steam engine manual pressure relief valve. Its older than it looks. I polished it several years ago because I didn't know that you are supposed to leave the patina on old things. There is no serial number or other marking besides the"Made in USA" and what looks to be a capital"V" inside a clover. There's a little bit of green oxidation on parts of it. It appears to still work because you can't blow into it until you press the lever. I do not know who the manufacturer is or what type of steam engine this is off of. If you know.
