Here is a Ludwigs VisuMeter. The back is marked LUDWIG'S CINTI. O. with a patent number and HDC inside of a hexagon. This is a measuring device that is inserted into the shoe. The arm is extended to fit the inside of the shoe. Then lock the arm in place, remove, and compare to the foot to determine how much room is inside the shoe.
