The only markings found on the V ise(besides the barely readable sticker) are V 50 and V 51. Possible part numbers. The Vise is used and in great working order. However. Antique woodworking bench tons of character + unique vintage hardware
Really beautiful turn of the century workbench. It's got hardware with patent dates from the 1890's! Bench is 10' long. 32" wide, 32" high. The bench top shows tons of wear and character, and the board that makes up the rear of the bench is a full 21" wide. Unlike most other repurposed workbenches. This piece doesn't have big vises sticking out, nor does it have the recessed tool tray that makes decorating difficult-it's just one big flat surface. The handwheel that turns the bench dog screw is fully functional-turn the wheel and the bench dog travels back and forth. It's really neat. This piece will make a gorgeous table. It is an Under Bench Style and is marked 161035. 161037, 161091 and DP. It has a neat looking wood handle and is yellow in color. The jaw is approximately 7" and it measures 12" in total length from the handle to the farthest point on the back braces. It is 6 1/2" across the front and the wood handle is 9 1/2" in length. The internal component of the jaw is supported with wood which measures 2 1/2" top to bottom. It weighs 9 lbs. 4 ozs. I removed this item from a workbench at a family estate auction. The wood jaw faces are 8" wide and the jaws open to about 6" between the wood faces. Weighs about 10 pounds 3 ounces. The other is unmarked. No wood jaw faces. Metal jaws are 6 1/2" wide and the jaws open to about 4" between the metal jaws. Weighs about 4 pounds. Ready to be cleaned up a bit and put back to work! They have the typical scratches. An unusual woodworking adjustable wood vise. This vise is in two pieces with table clamping for both pieces. It fits on a bench top and has opening for clamping up to 2 1/2" clamping feed are serrated to hold tightly to the bottom of bench top. Each jaw face is 2 3/4" long and 1 1/4" tall. Screw travel on the moveable jaw is 2" Appears to have 3/8" square dawg holes in the top of each jaw. No makers marks on this vise. It clamps well on table top and clamps long pieces tigthly between the two jaws.
