You are looking at a pair of antique pine leaded glass cabinet doors. They are not painted. They have their original finish on them. They are in good condition. There are a few minor scratches in the finish as you can see in the pics, both nothing major at all. The glass is sturdy and there are no breaks. This pair includes original glass knobs and it looks like the previous owner added a small backplate behind the knob. It also includes hinges(one is bent, see pic) The pair measures 36" wide by 48"Tall by 3/4" thick, together. I have 2 other identical pairs listed seperatley, but different sizes. Early Original 1900's Pair of Stained Glass Oak Cabinet Doors
Up for auction is an original matching set of stained& beveled glass cabinet doors taken from a Milwaukee bungalow that was built in 1918. There are no cracks or damage of any kind. One piece of the glass has a minor imperfection. It is not a crack or a scratch but it is a line that is a little over an inch. I tried to photograph it but it would not show up in the pictures. I am just trying to be upfront. It is surrounded in beautiful oak that has a great patina. One door measures 20& 3/4 inches tall. 14& 11/16 inches wide. It’s made of solid, heartpine, which is the heart stock of pine trees, and is a hardwood with great resistance to rot and warping/twisting. It has 2 swinging doors on top. Each with 2 wavy glass lites; and 2 swinging doors on bottom, each with 2 raised, vertical panels. In between the 2 sets of doors, there are 2 sliding drawers. All 4 doors and both drawers are equipped with original hardware. Originally. The cupboard was installed in a corner. The left and back sides were built into a wall, and the front and right sides was exposed. This is why there is no covering for the back, and the crown molding, shelf, and shelf molding extend past the ... morebody of the cupboard on the right side only. Here is a wonderful early to mid-twentieth century carved dark oak corner cabinet. Imported from the UK through Edinburgh and ready for use in your home or place of business today. This sweet cabinet stands 68 inches tall and measures 29 inches wide across the front. The distance from the front center of the cabinet straight back to the corner is 28 inches, with each of the side walls measuring 19 inches back to the corner. The top section of the cabinet is 38 inches tall with the base and two additional removable shelves which when in place offer about 11 inches of clearance above each and closer to 14 inches above the top shelf. These shelves are enclosed with leaded glass doors. Please note these are leaded over the glass, not individually paned windows. Ma. The corner cabinet remained as part of Dodd Hall until the Dodd house was purchased in 1911 by L.G. Treadway, a graduate of Dartmouth College whom owned 55 New England based inns. L.G. Treadway converted the Dodd House into the Williams Inn and the corner cabinet remained with Williams Inn until 1974 when Williams Inn was turned into the first womens dormitory for Williams College. L.G. Treadway sold many of the antique contents of the Williams College collection at Dodd Hall to Dr. Richard Ellison, the collection remained together in the estate until purchased by us. Offered this evening is a vintage(dated 1971) metal cabinet of Post Office Boxes once used in a United States Post Office. This metal cabinet measures approximately 23.5" across. 33" high and 15" deep. The cabinet has 18 slots which are open at one side and each has a locking PO Box door at the front side. There are 16 smaller doors(with windows) that measure approximately 5.25"x6" and 2 larger doors on the bottom row(no glass windows) that measure approximately 11.75"x6" The inside of the doors are marked AUTH ELEC 1971 The cabinet is dirty but in good condition- it has been painted white several times over the years. There are a few small areas with surface rust. It was manufactured back in 1906 for the United States Postal Service and includes a total of 18 solid brass doors with combination locks. There are 18 total solid brass hinged doors with U.S. stamp imprint. Combination lock, glass and metal box number tag. There are 15 small brass doors with glass and number, 2 middle size brass doors and 1 large brass door. These PO Boxes were used in a North Dakota post office since their manufactured date. They have not been in use for last decade and was stored in the North Dakota USPS Warehouse until now. The combinations to the locks are not present.
