FIELDPIECE SC76 Multi-meter for testing and checking HVAC / maintenance tool
Used Fieldpiece SC76 multimeter can test circuits using continuity. Vdc, ohms, mfd, vac settings. Has a temperature setting as well(you will need to supply the temp. probes yourself) I used this meter on the job then I bought an SC66 and kept this one for a back up. I put a new battery in it and did some checks with it and it still works well. The probes seen in the photos are good ones and comes with. For auction is a very old and exceptionally rare Western Electric triode amplifier for testing telephone equipment. It is badged as: D-16629 Carrier Current Amplifier Detector. It is built into a very heavy oak box with heavy nickle plated brass handles. This device is tagged as being equipment item#198 for the New England Telephone& Telegraph Company. Which was the internal name for the company known publicly as AT&T. Its patent plate dates from 1907 to 1917. A number of its capacitors are dated February 1915 through October 1918. There is no later date on any other component in this device. Legendary quality as you would expect from Western Electric. Everything is hand assembled. This is full of transformers. Chokes, wire wound resistors, and capacitors and weighs over 75lbs. It will be shipped to the winning bidder in a wooden ... morecrate. This amplifier is in exceptionally good shape and looks to be complete and original other than a few additional wires that were soldered into it 70+ years ago(based on their construction and battery type) Those wires are related to the internal 36 volt and 9 volt dry cell batteries that were originally installed. Its hard to believe but the 1930's era 7.5V Burgess dry cell battery in it actually still has 7.2 volts. I have not tested the amplifier because I do not have the tubes needed to operate it. All of its oil filled capacitors show no leakage of any kind. Embossed on the front of bottle inside and embossed shield design- MOJONNIER. Embossed just above front base rim- PATENTENED APRIL 5.1921. Embossed on bottom of bottle- I inside a diamond" Bottle has a thin wire under lip. This wire once had a small chain that was attached to a rubber stopper.
