The ink lettering on the base is clear and readable on the Volutron tube. The getter is very silvery. Shiny, reflective without any noticeable cloudiness. The tube tests very good. The tube was tested on my US Military I-177B ... moretube tester as a type 01A. The tube for auction gave a result of 725. An unused 01A is expected to give 725 on this tester. Southern IL University College Pottery Fred Koschitzki Signed Glaze Testing Pot
This auction features an extremely rare one-of-a-kind American college made glaze testing pot circa 1970s from SIUC(Southern Illinois University Carbondale) Signed by the listed artist Fred Koschitzki. All of his works are in private collections, and he does custom orders from his studio in Hudson New York, and this piece. One clearly never meant for market, was used to test a variety of glaze types and colors. The pot is coated first with a uniform light gray high gloss salt-glaze finish, and then over that there are multiple vertical stripes of glaze that line up with a circle of numbers that have been hand painted on the bottom of the pot, indicating what is glaze type number one, glaze type number two, and so forth. The name Koschitzki is not painted but was engraved into the clay in the center bottom of the pot prior to firing. The jar ... morewas made with a ring or loop technique, the various sections comprising the pot easily visible and giving it a ribbed appearance. It was not thrown on a wheel. There is no actual damage that I can find, such as cracks, chips or breaks. There are imperfections in the glaze but this is natural and happened at the time of firing, and would especially be expected in this particular pot as it was used for testing different types of glaze to see what would work best. There is no actual damage that I can see. The pot stands approximately 7-1/8" high with an inside diameter of the top opening at approximately 5-3/4" and an outside circumference at its widest point of 26-5/8" Please examine all photos carefully and email me with any questions you might have about this item to ensure your complete satisfaction. Made in 1915, was the first model to run with a motor and a hand crank, vs. only by a hand crank. The site also said, the buyer had to supply his own battery, key, and sounder unless he took the option package. The omnigraph has been mounted on a larger base to provide room for the morse code sounder.overall it measures about 15 x 7"the omnigraph by itself is about 5 1/2 x 10 1/2" This omnigraph looks like it was probably hooked up to a morse code sounder. The windup clock motor mechanism winds up and works smoothly and will run for a long time depending on where you set the flying ball governor/speed control.it is set by turning a friction screw for disc speed and to shut off. With the motor reasonably wound. On a moderate speed it will run for over 40 minutes, on super fast speed lasted over 15 minutes. The wind up key and the clock motor work perfectly. BOLEX EL 16mm Reflex Movie Camera. The Real Thing-- With a Little Testing!.
16mm lives! I'm relisting this because I finally got some power hooked up to it. Though it's makeshift, and the amperage can't be correct; I used a 12 volt 500mA power adapter. I pulled the listing because the camera had been sitting for a couple of years and I began to worry; without a power source I simply couldn't be sure that it was still working, so it seemed premature to put it up for sale. Two years is nothing to a clockwork camera, but once there's an electronic factor in the mix, inactivity can have consequences. So I can at least say that the wheels do indeed go around. It probably needs a proper tuneup to be at its best, but it does go! The shutter works too. Could be a good opportunity to get an EL for a low price- though factor in a potential bit of servicing. I have been able to find essentially nothing on this particular board. But I did find a description of a presumably more recent VME channel board on the SwRI website. The new channel board is described there as being a“digital ultrasonic testing(UT) instrument on a printed circuit board. Whether that is also applicable to the VME board I am selling here I cannot say. The newer board is further mentioned as being“specialized to meet the high-speed and thick-wall inspection requirements of nuclear reactors. My VME board was pulled from one of eight VME racks clustered together in a system being used by NASA. If I had to guess I would say that ultrasonic testing would have been a likely use at this particular ... morefacility. As I have bought other NDT test equipment from them in the past. Nuclear reactors? Don’t think so. If they were using them for UT purposes it would have been on aircraft or spacecraft. When I say them. I have a large quantity of these available. I think. They all have the same large heatsink protruding through the front plate. Which is pretty unusual for VME boards in my experience. But this is the only one I have physically pulled and inspected. The others may be slightly different. So if you need more than one let me know and I will take a closer look. This one sports the presumably shielded box covering the 4385-807 Receiver Module. Which looks like it piggybacks on the 4385-806 motherboard. Untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However.
