Baroid Resistivity Meter for testing of Oil Drilling Mud 1959 by Nat'l Lead Co.
A thrift store find this Baroid Resistivity Meter seems to work just like it should. I couldn't easily come up with a new battery- the one it came with is dead- but I used a 9 volt in series with my 12 volt car battery and found the unit to work as I would expect it to. Filled with bottled drinking water the meter went to near full scale on the high resistance side. Once a little salt was added it showed a resistivity level of about 2. The first picture shows the test results using the salt water solution. The new owner will have to purchase a new battery to be able to use the unit. Although new at eBay.
