AMBER 3501a Distortion and noise analyzer test set
Up for auction is a nice Amber Test set. Model 3501a. I've owned this for about 6 years and it has served me well. I also own other Tektronix, Fluke and H/P equipment and have decided to let some of my extra equipment go. This works well and has been used on and off since I've owned it. The only items to note about it is that it is missing the original button cap for the"Ground" switch(I've put a small white cap in it's place) It also has a bit of haziness to the meter face, not enough to keep from being able to read the meter, but not perfectly clear. All functions work and although I can't guarantee any type of calibration, it does give similar results for distortion and level as my Tektronix and Fluke equipment. I've never opened it and it still has the seals intact from what ever calibration it had in ... morethe past. No mods have been done and it does not include any factory options either.
