For sale is the well known HP 8753A vector network analyzer. Which is a very popular model covering the frequency range 300 kHz to 3 GHz. Although no longer offically supported by Agilent, in practice there is plenty of support available for this. Agilent will still calibrate it, there is the Agilent/HP Yahoo group and the Agilent VNA forums. So if you find you need help, you will have far more support than with Anritsu or Rohde& Schwarz. The auction includes the 85046A S-parameter test set- not the cheaper transmission/reflection test set. The S-parameter test set is much better than the transmission/reflection test set. As you can inject a signal into a 2-port device from either end, without removing the device and turning it around. Vintage LIONEL CL33 Chemistry Set - Wood Case, Chemical Bottles, Test Tubes, etc
This lot contains a whole bunch of interrelated stuff. So listen carefully and I'll tell you what I know. First. In the first two pictures is the original wooden two-door case for a Lionel"Chem-Lab" chemistry set. It needs a good cleaning, as you can see, and it looks like a piece of the locking mechanism might be missing, and the two doors don't quite line up. The paper labels are both chipped and damaged, I believe the one on the left originally said"Lionel Chem-Lab" and the one on the right was the model number- CL 33. When closed, it measures about 12" x 13" x 2¼" deep. When you open it up. You see that the doors are fitted with shelves and racks and the main body of the case also has two shelves. The items shown in the third and fourth pictures were all found with the case, but I'm ... morenot sure whether they're all original Lionel pieces. We have one rubber tube and six glass test tubes, four with corks, two without. There is also a 2" x 2" dark blue or ultra-violet glass lens, an almost empty Lionel"red litmus paper" box, two plastic Lionel chemicals bottles and some small sheets of what might be litmus paper. Also found with it are the 12 small chemical jars in the fourth picture. None of which appear to be made by Lionel. There are three short square bottles(1¼" x 1¼" x 2" tall) all with Chemcraft labels, made by the Porter Chemical Company, of Hagerstown, Maryland. Then there are seven short circular bottles(1¼" diameter, 2¼" tall) with black caps and generic handwritten labels. And finally, two taller rectangular bottles(1¼" x 1" x 2¾" both with red caps and generic handwritten labels. They are all made of clear glass, apart from the two tall ones- these are amber glass and both marked with a raised shield and anchor symbol on the bottom and the numbers and letters"82-07, 6-24, 21-SB. The bottle contents range from full or nearly full down to a trace or less.

It is unique in that, without ... moreany additional accessories, it can test a single line, compare a good cable pair with a faulty pair, balance a good pair with a faulty pair showing the algebraic difference, and transmit on one pair and receive on another pair to prove out splits and resplits. The 435F can be used to identify and/or locate: opens. Shorts, high resistance splices, wet splices, sheath damage, split cable pairs and resplits, water migration, taps, connectors, change of insulation, amplifiers, repeaters, load coils, stubs, and capacitor networks.
