No major rust or pitting on the blade. the wooden handle is in great shape with one small piece of wood missing forward near the blade. the overall length of the short sword is approx. 27 3/4 inches.

A very rare E.T. Flewelling one tube short wave adapter. Circa 1928. It requires one O1A type tube not included but plentifully available on eBay. The bakelite case is in pristine condition as well as the knobs. The tear drop vernier is outstanding and very nice. Includes one coil, I don't know what frequency range this covers. A little cleaning will bring this converter into a museum grade display piece. It may well work since these circuits were very simple with very few components, but I've never tested the radio. High Power Short Arc Hamamatsu Xenon Gas Flash Lamp Tube EG&G Optics
This is what looks like Hamamatsu's answer to the small short arc flashlamps made by EG&G. It looks like it was designed for fairly high rep rate at very short duration pulses with decent energy levels. The tube itself is 3/4 inch by 2 inches long. It is mounted on a 2-3/4 inch diameter heavy duty aluminum base. It takes about 200V minimum to flash, but will hold off almost 1kV. Compared to EG&G lamps this looks far better made, no fragile pins to break, no internal reflector to blacken. The tube can be fit to several off the shelf parabolic reflectors to make a very high reliability, high speed, strobe light using a flashtube driver from an EG&G flashpak module. This item is pretty hard to find, I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

Spectacular British one off manufactured Hunting Cutlass sidearm short sword
An astonishingly high quality British Victorian hunting sidearm in its original scabbard. Apparently designed and manufactured to a Royalty or other noble gentleman. The quality of the etched decoration on both sides of the blade is at the level virtually unseen on a ordinary British swords or hunting weapons. We could not match this piece in any reference books or other specialised sources. So in our opinion this is a one off piece made by individual order of someone highly positioned within the establishment of the Victorian era. Apart from a few notches to the blade the condition is flawless in every respect.

SHORT SNORTER BILL dated 3/3/1943(WORLD WAR 2) These bills were done as a good luck piece from men in the same army unit making a cross Atlantic Flight. This tradition started with the 1920's Bush pilots in Alaska. Then it moved to be a good luck charm for cross Atlantic flights but too on a new form with the Army Air Corp during WWII. Unites would get one bill signed by each man of their unit and if you showed up in a bar without your bill you owed all of your buddies a drink. Plus it became a way to remember fallen friends. This story was given to me from my Grandfather who's passed. This bill along with some other Bills are posted from WWII.

This is one of the more interesting Short Snorters I have owned. It is an issue from what the Allies named"Operation TOY HORSE" Occupational Currency was listed with two under prints. The"A" under print were intended for use in Korea and. As an introductory issue for Japan. they were short lived and quite scarce. The"B" under print were intended for Japan and the Ryukyu islands. All of the early issues were printed by The Stecher-Traung Lithograph Corporation. This one has six or seven signers. Some are rather faint. Around the Margins are locations such as Okinawa, Hawaii, Anniwetok and someplace called something-something"MOO-MOO" Short Snorters are, if you haven't collected them, are popular because, in part, they provide a direct connection to the brave men of the Greatest Generation who saved ... morethe world so that we can live our lives in freedom. Viet Nam War short brim olive drab boonie hat
This is one of the very first items in my Viet Nam War collection. This was laying up on the top of the hat rack at the Sukiran Troop Area Library on the island of Okinawa in 1968 for a period of weeks. So I finally helped myself to it as remained untouched and unclaimed. It originally had a Parachutist badge on the front which I removed. The Sukiran Troop Area was home to the 1st Special Forces Group, and since the 173rd Airborne Brigade had left the island in'65 my guess it was the off duty hat of an Airborne type from the SF unit. It has a tear in the crown which was the result of a fellow Boy Scout demonstrating his"Jim Bowie" skills but that could be easily repaired. I know I've seen a photo or two with SF/advisor types wearing these very short brim boonies in plain olive drab. Neat period piece being offered at a fair ... moreprice.
