The HP8770A Arbitrary Waveform Synthesizer is a dc to 50MHz signal generator. It has the capability of reproducing arbitrary waveforms; the waveform is reproduced using its frequency components up to 50MHz. Waveform data is first developed using a computer. The data is then loaded into the Synthesizer where digital data is converted into an analog output. Many different waveforms can be loaded into the Synthesizers 128k of memory at any one time.
