There is a 1 ½ in. chip at one corner and a ½ in. chip at one tip. Fortunately these are most visible from the back(see photos) The back has the remnant of an old tag. MID CENTURY VINTAGE ALL METAL BLACK DESKTOP PAPER TRAY by GLOBE-WERNICKE 2 TIER, MID CENTURY VINTAGE ALL METAL BLACK DESKTOP PAPER TRAY by GLOBE-WERNICKE- 2 TIERS This Mid Century Vintage All Metal Black Desktop 2 Tier Stacking Paper Tray was made by Globe-Wernicke. The Patent# 2,235,709 dates it to at least 1942. Its 8 inches tall at the back, 15 inches long, 10 inches wide, and each tray is 2 5/8 inches deep at the back. The trays are designed so that they could be used separately by removing the metal rods that hold them connected on the back& side corners- or more trays could be added to the stack, generally the bottom tray has small rubber circle pads on the bottom runners so that it will not scratch the surface of your desk- this is missing 1 of those pads, but each tray has holes where these pads fit into in case you do want to ... moretake them apart so somewhere out there are extra pads that could be purchased for this use. Otherwise its in very good condition for its age, no dings, dents, or scratches.
