Bell & Howell Microfiche Reader Model SR-Vll
What we have here is the Bell& Howell Microfiche Reader with model# SR-Vll. The series is 1302AVF and the serial# is 001373. This unit came with the company when we purchased it more than(13) years ago. Obvisiously it is much older than that but the previous owner used to use this to look up various parts. I personally do not know anything about this type of equipment but simply trying to make room in my stock area. We did turn it on and it appears to work fine. The light lights and the fan works. It could use a good cleaning from sitting around and not being used. The mechanism appears to move freely with very little play. The focus appears to work. At one time I did have one microfiche from the old Honda QA-50 minibike and I know it had shown that well. If there was more I could tell you about this reader I would but other than it appearing ... moreto work as it should that is all the info I have. There is a picture of the tag on the back giving all the particulars such as watts and HZ. Etc. From what I have heard people prefer the smaller units compared to the bigger bulky units? Microfiche and copies that were printed from this machine) The image appears clear, but I would prefer that it was larger for viewing. Perhaps this needs a lens with more magnification. Eyecom RP9000 Microfiche Printer Up for auction is this used Eyecom RP9000 Microfiche Printer. It is overall in quite good cosmetic condition. There is some slight yellowing to the casing. But not real wear at all. See photos below for more details on physical condition. Specifications: Brand: Eye Communications Systems(Eyecom) Model: RP9000 Serial# 33104189 120V 8.4A I plugged it in and it turned on properly and the bulb shown brightly. I put a 35mm slide in and was able to view it well. The focus knob worked properly and I was able to make the image on the screen very clear. I pressed the print button and it acted like it was starting to print. But it didn't and displayed P/0 on the screen. I believe this meant it was out of paper. I found that it appears to be missing the paper input and also output trays. I tried hand feeding paper ... morein, but it either didn't see it, or it showed that it was jammed if I put it in too far. It seems that some reason the first paper roller is not working. This is a used Microfiche or microfilm reading machine. But it appears to be in good condition, only a couple of minor scrapes on the top. I plugged it in and the lights work great, both on high and low, and the focus works great, also. You are getting exactly what you see in the photos, so please inspect carefully. It may be complete, but could have something missing as I know nothing about this machine. I do not have any film to try it out, but am pretty certain it is okay. However, no guarantees. I can tell you it is made by Dukane, and is model 99A5005(not sure about the last number, but think it is a 5) Also, on the bottom is says Model 27A66. This is a very heavy machine. They shrunk the paper documents onto a slide resembling a large photo negative material. A front panel switch features two brightness’s– High and Low. Plus OFF. I only used the AC cord to power the unit. There is a DC Power connector on the back. But I do not have the DC cord. Both lenses are included: 24X and 48X. The slide works smoothly back and forth. And in and out. The glass holder is 6” wide by 4” deep. It is heavy-duty at almost 17 pounds shipping weight.
