Bell & Howell Microfiche Reader Model SR-Vll
What we have here is the Bell& Howell Microfiche Reader with model# SR-Vll. The series is 1302AVF and the serial# is 001373. This unit came with the company when we purchased it more than(13) years ago. Obvisiously it is much older than that but the previous owner used to use this to look up various parts. I personally do not know anything about this type of equipment but simply trying to make room in my stock area. We did turn it on and it appears to work fine. The light lights and the fan works. It could use a good cleaning from sitting around and not being used. The mechanism appears to move freely with very little play. The focus appears to work. At one time I did have one microfiche from the old Honda QA-50 minibike and I know it had shown that well. If there was more I could tell you about this reader I would but other than it appearing ... moreto work as it should that is all the info I have. There is a picture of the tag on the back giving all the particulars such as watts and HZ. Etc. From what I have heard people prefer the smaller units compared to the bigger bulky units? This is a used Microfiche or microfilm reading machine. But it appears to be in good condition, only a couple of minor scrapes on the top. I plugged it in and the lights work great, both on high and low, and the focus works great, also. You are getting exactly what you see in the photos, so please inspect carefully. It may be complete, but could have something missing as I know nothing about this machine. I do not have any film to try it out, but am pretty certain it is okay. However, no guarantees. I can tell you it is made by Dukane, and is model 99A5005(not sure about the last number, but think it is a 5) Also, on the bottom is says Model 27A66. This is a very heavy machine. Canon Microfilm Scanner 400 Up for auction now is a Canon Microfilm Scanner 400 model M31019. This is a used item. But as you can see in the pictures, it still looks great. The only blemishes that this unit has are some very minor scuffs, but there is no visible damage that I can find that would adversely affect the device's functionality in any way. We were able to test the Microfilm Reader. We do not have any actual microfiche. But we do have some random slide projector slides, so we used them. The unit itself powers on without incident, and the light inside is bright. The adjustment lenses rotate and work fine. The front panel seems to respond properly to all button presses. The roll carrier model 200 we could not get to work. We are not sure if it is the carrier unit. Or the controls on the microfilm reader. We do not have the type ... moreof connection required to connect the unit to a computer. So we haven't tested the'scanning' part. Micron Model 720 Portable Microfiche Reader. UNIT POWERS ON. LAMP ILLUMINATES. NO OTHER TESTS; SOLD AS IS, ALL SALES FINAL, AND NO RETURNS. Portable microfiche reader. MICRON Corporation, Model 720 unit. The portable unit for storage/transport is approximately 9 3/4 inches wide, by about 10 1/2 inches deep, and 4 inches tall/height. When opened/erected for use, the height increases to just over 12 inches. Weight is just under 8 pounds; shipping weight will be approximately 10- 11 pounds, thus the shipping fee of $15.00. Unit will be securely packaged for shipping/transit; unit will be insured. The lower glass is approximately 6 inches wide. By 4 inches deep; the glass assembly does travel both left and right. Unit is not only portable in the smaller dimensions(than a desktop unit) But also can be powered by a battery; the battery terminals ... moreare located inside a small compartment on the bottom side. NO BATTERY INCLUDED; in fact I'm not sure of the battery type required for operation. That same underside compartment. Also houses the AC electrical adapter, which does operate; the power switch does illuminate when turning the power switch ON. The adapter has about a 6 1/2 foot cord length. On the front side of the case. There is a sliding locking lever, that must be positioned correctly for opening the unit, and also for closing/locking/securing the 2 case pieces together. When opened and setup, there is an additional switch below the main screen, controlling focus and magnification. The top cover. Or case top has one defect/issue; a pin/hole combination is used to connect the case top at the rear/sides of unit. The left side, both the pin/hole are intact; the right side, the hole is fine, however the pin has sheared/broken off. The task of drilling the old pin location, and inserting/gluing a replacement appropriate length pin could be accomplished.
