They do not make machines like this anymore. We all remember this in our house when we were children. Not sure where Dad got it. Probably US government surplus back in the 60's or 70's.

Bell & Howell Microfiche Reader Model SR-Vll
What we have here is the Bell& Howell Microfiche Reader with model# SR-Vll. The series is 1302AVF and the serial# is 001373. This unit came with the company when we purchased it more than(13) years ago. Obvisiously it is much older than that but the previous owner used to use this to look up various parts. I personally do not know anything about this type of equipment but simply trying to make room in my stock area. We did turn it on and it appears to work fine. The light lights and the fan works. It could use a good cleaning from sitting around and not being used. The mechanism appears to move freely with very little play. The focus appears to work. At one time I did have one microfiche from the old Honda QA-50 minibike and I know it had shown that well. If there was more I could tell you about this reader I would but other than it appearing ... moreto work as it should that is all the info I have. There is a picture of the tag on the back giving all the particulars such as watts and HZ. Etc. From what I have heard people prefer the smaller units compared to the bigger bulky units? Microfiche and copies that were printed from this machine) The image appears clear, but I would prefer that it was larger for viewing. Perhaps this needs a lens with more magnification. The bulb currently works and the printer currently works. But we cannot guarantee the life of the bulb or the ink cartridge. The Microprinter is in good cosmetic condition. Except for a hairline crack to the plastic on the top back of the machine. When there is no film/fiche in the machine. There appears to be some specks on the viewing screen. It is overall in fair cosmetic condition with the normal few lights scuffs and scratches on the exterior. It includes the instruction manual. See photos below for more details on physical condition. We plugged the unit in and powered on and it said wait on the control panel. We let it sit for about 10 minutes and came back and then the ready light was on. We did not insert any microfilm into to test the machine. I pressed the print button and the unit started to print. Unfortunately. It looks like while the output roller shafts had gotten dislodged from its position and one of the plastic rollers on it got melted against a hot surface. Due to this the paper jams on the output. I believe that the plastic roller will need to be replaced as well as ... morepossibly another part to make the machine usable again. Working condition is very good, it displays a clean crisp picture. I was not able to test the print feature as I do not have a printer that is compatible.
