Here is a great set of used 700c Enve 1.65 Carbon Tubular Wheels with DT Swiss 240s road hubs. Sapin CX-Ray spokes, and an almost new set of Continental Sprinter Gatorskin tubular tires. Currently. These are equipped with a Shimano/Sram freehub but I do have an almost new Campagnolo freehub that I can include for $30(Campy freehub has less than 200 miles) Just let me know at checkout if you want the Campy freehub. Wheels spin smooth and true. These wheels were originally hand-built by Fairwheelbikes.com. The decals on the DT Swiss 240s hubs were removed to match the current bike it was used with. Total weight pictured WITH mounted tires is 1900 grams. These wheels have never seen tubular cement/glue and tires have always been mounted using Tufo tubular tape. Do you collect vintage camping gear? I did a kiener pack google search and the first story to come up is about the"Kiener Route" up a Colorado mountain in 1925 and the tragedy of Walter Kiener losing his friend and nearly his own life getting back down. All the other results were in a foreign language! I don't know if this old pack is something this Kiener fellow may have made in a later career or maybe it's just a common pack from Switzerland. It has a couple flat internal springs to hold the shape and seems like a very well made piece of gear. Shows normal use but no rot or damage. Leather parts could use a little neatsfoot oil but are not hard or cracked. From the style of hardware etc I'm guessing this is 1950s vintage. Give or take a bit. Typical adult size. This specific bike is an Allegro Special with a 23inch frame(center to centrer) Judging by its serial number, this bike was built between 1965 and 1967. The frame is constructed from only the best, Reynolds 531 steel tubing, with Campagnolo dropouts, ornate lugs and no braze-ons. It has been restored in a blue green metallic with white fades and red lug outlines. The head badge is beautiful. Cosmetically. The frame is 8.5/10, as there are some paint chips on the dropouts and on the top, down and seat tubes where components were clamped that could easily be touched up. There is no rust whatsoever. Also, under the stays are two small uniform dents that may have been part of the original frame engineering(I have tried to show them in the pictures) These flaws did not effect the performance whatsoever when the bike was built up. With 42 and 46 tooth chain rings, as well as original Stronglight headset and bottom bracket(both newly repacked) The components are in great condition with some wear from use but structurally perfect. DT Swiss aero spokes, black alloy nipples, and a continental GP4000 tubular tire which is like new and still glued on very well. This wheel is spot on true with no hops whatsoever and would make a fantastic addition to a race wheel arsenal or a fancy everyday wheel for you tubular training guys. I have no clue how many miles this wheel has but I do know that the wheel was recently rebuilt by a local reputable shop and the bearings are as smooth as glass indicating proper maintenance or low mileage or BOTH!
