I found the section on how to play trills a great reference. This book has a few lessons but mostly exercises that gradually increase in difficulty. Examples of the lessons are shown in the photos. The book is in good shape though there is some highlighting in the beginning chapter and a name in ink on the first page. Probably are other marks through the book occasionally. There is no makers mark so we are unsure but Gleason manufactured a spooner and coffee pot in this pattern. The basket is Victorian. Most likely from the late 1860's or 70's, features the busts of a woman around the rim similar to the Statue of Liberty or other figure. The design shows ware as pictured, has a slight tilt to one side but still a very remarkable Victorian Basket. It stands 9.5 inches tall to the top of the handle, 4 inches tall to the rim and 13 inches wide from outer part of rim. The rim was applied after the two pieces were manufactured with was a technique not often found. Buyers have seven days to pay. $76.25 pay for Cyres Gleason for his service in the Texas Army in Captain Putnan's Company. It was issued Nov. 3rd.1836 at Columbia(now West Columbia) when it was the Capital of Texas. Amoung the usual names this note has J.C. Martin. Nixon and William P. Sims. It is signed on veso by Mr. Gleason where he assigns the note to Mr. Sims, who I would guess, gave him a lot less than $76.00 for it. A very neat piece of early Texas. See photos for condition. This is a great looking and hard to find 1988 chalkware statue by Esco. It's everyone's favorite comedian Jackie Gleason as Reginald Van Gleason III. This was one of Jackie's favorite characters to play. He measures about 18 1/2" tall and is marked 1988 VIP Corp. Mfg. Esco. He's in good condition with some damage. The biggest damage is to the brim of his hat. A section looks like it's been repaired and there are also some chips on the brim. Also there is a chip on the inside bottom of his coat tail. It does not show unless you look at it from underneath see photo's. There are also some chips/ flakes here and there not really bad looking please see photo's. Could use a little cleaning. Still a great looking piece to display in your home/ collection. Gothic Silverplate Cruet Stand By R. Gleason& Sons Circa 1860 This magnificent cruet stand measures approximately 17 inches tall by 9 inches across when closed. We are including five cruet bottles that are not original to this piece three of them are in one pattern and the other two a different pattern. This cruet stand has six holders that can be opened and closed with a turn of the knob. The bottles can be rotated by turning the finial on the top. Each of the cruet doors is decorated with fish and wild game birds. The doors are decorated on the inside with a floral motif. The top is decorated with a vine and leaf pattern. It has Patented Dec. 11. 1857 on the top. This piece is in excellent condition although I do believe that it has been re-plated at some point in time. It is also marked on the bottom with a seal.
