Indian Grinding Stone Discoidal & Arrowhead knife Sharpening Hand Tool
This is from my personal collection. And is a personal find. This is a well worked grind stone as seen around outer edge and also has sharpening grooves on both sides. Material is a hardstone and measures at 2 1/4" long, 2" across middle, and 1 1/4" thick. A very nice double duty stone that would be a nice addition to your artifact display case. There is also an upside down handsaw mounted in what appears to be a saw sharpening vise. Solid copper image measures approximately 2 1/14" long by 1 3/8" wide mounted on its original wood block and is quite heavy for its size. The actual steel is 14" long and is in excellent condition. It has a four leaf clover style hand guard that is just shy of 2" wide and over 1/16" thick. The dark redish-brown hardwood handle is in great shape with a few minor dings, hardly noticeable. Under the front of the hand guard and on the pommel is solid turned steel fittings. There is a hole in the pommel that houses a hanging ring that is very thick.
