Here you have a pair of World War II(most likely) Sterling GI or Paratrooper’s Marksman Qualification Badges. One Marksman Award is for the M1 Garand Rifle and the second is for the M1 Carbine. Only the sterling carbine proficiency bar is marked. The Badges are in excellent condition. Each Badge has a WWII pin back device with locking mechanism. The Marksman Award is distinguished by a simple Maltese Cross with a proficiency bar suspended from the cross. Although both marksman awards and one bar are not marked. Here is a spare parts group for the rare Springfield model 1865 first Allin alteration of the Civil War 58 caliber muskets. I think the cam and the screws will also work on the very early M66 muskets that retained some of the latch parts from the 65. These are prime condition all original parts with arsenal finish. Included are four of the impossible to find original tiny screws. Basically it's almost everything you need to repair or maintain your M65. The pictures show the finish and condition accurately. I've enjoyed fooling with these things for decades but now it is time to pass them along to the next generation to conserve and use. I have provided sharp. 424 MTC Original US Army WWI Long 1917-18 Marked Model 1917 Rifle Cartridge Belt
Here is an interesting. Original, Long manufactured Model 1917 pocketed rifle cartridge belt with a clear I.D. One half is marked Long 12-17 while the other is marked Long 1-18. The belt is in nice shape. Solid and all parts are clearly original to the belt. The color is lighter than the other belts I have but is the same inside as outside so it isn't sun faded. The belt is IDed to the 424th MTC(Motor Transport Company? with the soldiers number 32 and the hand written initials F.D. That might be enough info to find the soldier who wore this for those of you who know how to do that kind of research. This is a very nice belt that has"been there. I will post more pictures after the weekend. I just wanted to get in on ebay so it would end on the weekend. I will post more monday/tuesday I am a long time military collector. And work closely doing appraisals with a local consignment shop. they had this stock come in a few days ago and it blew me away. An older gentleman came in and said his grandfather had a hunting gun that was originally in this stock. The rifle is long since gone, and this stock had been in a closet for years and years. it is as clean and perfect of a M1917 stock as I've seen. It has the forward and middle barrel band. As well as both hand guard pieces and butt plate. All are completely matching and in as perfect of condition as you will ever find. the pictures I have here were snapped with my phone before I had to leave. As you can see, all the markings are Beautiful, ... moreincluding a nice inspection cartouche on the left side of the stock. You will not do better than this stock. Someone pulled the rifle out and made a sporter(as was common for these guns back in the day) This stock has been hidden away ever since. If you need a stock. This is the best you will ever find. Now that I have the stock in hand I can describe it a bit more. many years ago someone put some masking tape on the front of the top to hold the wood to the gun. This will come off once you oil the stock. The front stacking swivel and set screw are missing. Also. There are a few handling marks, but no real problems that I notice. Replica sling for the German Army Mauser 71 or 71/84 rifle. This sling fits either the 1871 or 71/84 rifles and was made for both because the sling swivels are the same distance apart. Made exactly like the original design per Paul Pietsch's book on Prussian equipment. A copy of the regulations and drawings of the sling are included with every sling. The sling is made of heavy brown leather with natural linen stitching just like the original. I have the hardware specially made to conform with the original hardware.
