Antique US rifle blade 1800's Musket Socket Bayonet world War? marked US 137 p
What a piece of history I found this in an old closed down gun shop. I was told it was from late 1700's early 1800's it has definitely been used in war, it is marked US and another marking i cannot make out. And then at the part where it gets attached to the rifle there is a single 3 and then 137 and a P it has a very small hairline at the very tip as seen in pictures. WWII German Mauser k98 Rifle Knife Dagger Bayonet EARLY 2-TONE PLUM/BLUE
Original Vet Bring-Back WWII German k98 Mauser Rifle Bayonet with Scabbard. This just came out of the Veteran's estate in Maine less than 2 months ago. Has never been in a collection and is right out of the woodwork. Bayonet blade is serial numbered 1425 and maker marked/ dated S/239 with“36” on the spine(Richard Herder 1936) Scabbard is numbered 1258a and maker marked/dated jwh 41. Blade has almost 100% of the Original Plum finish remaining with no rust. No dings, and no sharpening marks. A Really Excellent example of a scarce 2-Tone Plum/Blue finish German bayonet. Original Walnut wood grips are in great shape. No cracks or chips. Scabbard has original patina and has not been messed with. Shows honest combat wear. 1868 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle Barrel c.1870 Exc.
You are bidding on a fair original condition barrel for a Model 1868 Trapdoor Springfield 50/70 Rifled musket. This item was made in about 1870. SN 18733. The barrel has a mottled patina finish, they were not blued when they were made they were issued bright. The bore is fair +, the lands& grooves are sharp and deep but it does have some scattered pitting which may be improved by cleaning. it should make a decent shooter as is. On a scale of 10 I would give the bore about a 4. It should shoot OK. The 32.5 inch barrel has no inspector marks underneath or on top which is correct for this model. On a 10 scale, I would give this a 4 for finish. This barrel has a broken tang and includes the broken off piece. It also includes a replacement tang if you want to restore it with that. You are bidding on a nice honest Model 1868 50/70 Trapdoor Springfield service rifle stock in very good. Better than average condition. There are some bumps. bruises, contusions and abrasions. It may have been lightly sanded at one time. There are no Inspector's marks visible due to nice even wear. This stock should also fit a Model 1870 musket.The'68 and the'70 muskets had the raised side panels on both sides of the stock in the lock area. This stock will NOT work for a 45/70. WHY BUY A UNFINISHED MODERN DAY COPY WHEN FOR THE SAME MONEY YOU CAN BUY A GENUINE ORIGINAL STOCK? There is a small non-critical crack in the receiver inletting where the wood is thin over the mainspring cut, most springfield muskets have this same condition. It's normal. This is a nice WWII era Czechoslovakian Bayonet. The blade is nearly 11 3/4" greased well) and overall length is 17" The Ricasso is marked CSZ over J. The Pommel is marked B R over 15555. The Scabbard frog stud is marked circle Z over what appears to be a M in a box. The frog stud may have been soldered where it attatches to the scabbard. The scabbard fits very nice and snug. The wood grips are nice and solid with wear marks. The release button works well. Please look closely at the many pictures and please ask if you have any questions. antique original world war two WW2 earliest production example- no Arsenal mark on the blade' M' stamped on the pommel a pre-production prototype model with a four digit serial number on the cross guard and a large letter'M' stamped on the pommel- these are said to be the very first. Of the production type 30 bayonet, very scarce you just wont find one of these at the local gun show. The scarcest variation of all type 30 bayonets. and one of the KEY bayonets of any collection decent over all condition. The blued blade shows use.and there are some slight old rust marks near the front of the blade, the hilt shows just minor wear.no pitting the wooden grips have a few dings. Originally raised in colonial North America as the Royal Americans, and recruited from American colonists. Later ranked as the 60th Regiment of Foot. The regiment served for more than 200 years throughout the British Empire. In 1966 the regiment became part of the Royal Green Jackets. In World War I the KRRC was expanded to twenty-two battalions and saw much action on the Western Front. Macedonia and Italy with 60 battle honours awarded. 12,840 men of the regiment were killed while seven members were nominated and received the Victoria Cross and over 2,000 further decorations were awarded. M 1 A McMillan rifle stock
Up for bis is an original USMC Shooting Team fiberglass early smear pattern camoflage rifle stock. It is currently configured to fit a double lugged rifle. It was mounted on a plaque as a departing gift to a former shooting team member. It wasn't altered in anyway to mount it to the plaque. It is a solid stock and would make the ultimate platform for a M 1 A supermatch rifle or M 2 1 sniper rifle. The rear buttplate has been bedded closed. All modifications have been made at a USMC armory. This stock is very rare as it is an early McMillan stock and not to mention it's Marine Coprs pedigree.
