I retired as a quality control inspector 21 years ago from a large aerospace corp. here in Denver.I haven't used any of my inspection tools or gages since then.This is a Brown& Sharpe Magnetic Base Indicator Stand#743 with adjustable base knob.It is in nice working condition.The magnetic base is designed to be placed on machinery.However because of its generous 2 7/16 x 3 1/8 inch base size I found it handy for granite surface plate work and this is how I used it.It comes with two indicator bracket mounting rods.One rod measures 4 1/2 inches and the longer one 9 inches in length.Indicator and adjustable rod brackets are included.See photo's.Sold as is!

You are buying a Starrett 657 Magnetic Dial Indicator Stand. It is in good working condition with some signs of cosmetic wear(see pictures) As pictured the stand is 13 1/2" tall and has a Baty London Made In England indicator gauge mounted on it. The gauge works fine but is missing its glass or clear plastic face cover. On one side of the base the previous owner has etched the following numbers 803-21-256-00000 5928(see pictures) A nice working stand for your shop.
