You are bidding on a Machinist magnetic Indicator base. It has a strong mag. base and compact for getting in small areas. It is unmarked and could be Lufkin as I have sold a few of these in the past. The base is 1 3/8" diameter and 1 3/16" high with a 5/16" o.d. rod 5" long. It has a stem mounted on the rod 6" long with a.250 o.d. connector for going in an indicator with a.250 hole. Also its threads which screw in against the flat surface are.250 o.d. threads. What a handy item to have for small areas! Wood box in picture only used for a stand. Does not come with it. Universal Magnetic Base Indicator Holder from MSC (Machinist tool)
I only used this 3-4 times before I got transferred to the mill department. I haven't used it since and I'm trying to make some room in my toolbox for other things I need. The"V" groove on the bottom is really handy for use on the lathes. When I got this base. The plastic ring in between the clamp was cracked.
