Up for auction is this antique brass Dietzgen surveyor transit with level and original box. Also included is a small plumb bob wh ich came with the piece. T he transit. Which measures about 10 1/2" long and 4" high has a solid brass scope with a bubble level attached to it. I t is mounted to a metal and brass base with a 360 degree marked roun d plate. The bottom of the base has brass screws and fitting to attach to a tripod. The glass scope has a cross when one looks inside it. The transit and level seem to be in good working order.
