The unit was set on a semi level surface and powered up. The level adjusted it self for a few and then started spinning once it found it was level, i powered on the receiver and put it into the beam of the laser it spun and it beeped quite loudly and the light went green. Both units work as they should. The level and receiver do show normal use with scuffs, scratches, some paint spray and some personal markings on them. This is a Trimble/Spectra Precision GL720 Dual-Slope Grade Laser. This unit will grade slopes up to 20% It's in great physical condition with light scuffs and marks from normal field usage. It is a self-levelling unit making it extremely easy to setup and use. Laser can be powered by batteries or via a direct DC(10-30 volts) power source. I connected it to my 12vdc bench power supply and it powered on perfectly. At startup the unit will self-level itself. Once it is level; the laser begins to rotate. I adjusted the grade to 3% and the laser tilted as expected. The LCD display is in excellent shape with no missing elements. All three rotational speeds(300. 600& 900rpm) are working properly. Everything else looks to be in great working order. The cable is very long and has a postive/negative clamp at the end for connection to your power ... moresource. This laser was very well cared for.
