I can not find a name on it. But it seems to be well made with high quality expertise. It should clean easily.

Used Starrett # 196 Dial Indicator, Wooden Case # 196A & Clamp
This is an older used Starrett No. 196 dial indicator with(2) contact points. The indicator is.001" The needle travels.185" and the dial face rotates with no hang ups. It shows normal markings and the lens is slightly yellowed from age. The Starrett No. 196A wooden case measures: 8 1/4" length, 4 5/8" width and 2 1/4" height. The sliding lid moves with not hang ups. The case has no splits, cracks or chips and shows normal wear from being used. The clamp has: PAT. NO. 2.731.451 stamping. The screw is slightly bent, but does not affect the clamping. I have not cleaned or altered the appearance of these items. Every thing is being sold as(1) item.
