There is just a hint of reddish surface rust from storage on the rods and swivel. Not on the dial indicator. It works wonderfully like it should. There is awitch on the side for forward or reverse movement of the stylus point. The white face dial reads +4-0-4. Please have a close look at the photos. Here is what comes with this set: 1.
