It should clean easily.

This sale is for a used chain indicator holder. It has a 30 inch chain and includes a Starrett 196 dial indicator as shown in the pictures. This is a sturdy device for holding a dial indicator securely to the work piece for doing shaft/ coupling alignment. Can be used in shaft/ coupling alignment as well as sweeping the lathe tailstock to align work in the steady rest and horizontal boring mill alignment. The indicator rod can be mounted in 3 different locations for versatility and the rod holes have 1/4-20 threads. There is no brand name or identification on this tool. It shows normal markings and the lens is slightly yellowed from age. The Starrett No. 196A wooden case measures: 8 1/4" length, 4 5/8" width and 2 1/4" height. The sliding lid moves with not hang ups. The case has no splits, cracks or chips and shows normal wear from being used. The clamp has: PAT. NO. 2.731.451 stamping. The screw is slightly bent, but does not affect the clamping. I have not cleaned or altered the appearance of these items. Every thing is being sold as(1) item.
