Antique 5-bulb polychrome cast aluminum ceiling light fixture
Antique 5-bulb ceiling chandelier light fixture. I believe it's made from cast aluminum or some other non-magnetic alloy. It has a 24" +/ drop and is about 16" across. The mount and chain are solid brass. The lights are the top-mount candlestick type. As the photos clearly show, this is an extremely nice complete piece with a gold, turquoise, and red polychrome finish. At some point it was rewired. This fixture, along with other items I currently have listed on ebay, was removed from a recently demolished Ohio house built in the 1910's. Please ask any questions prior to purchasing. These have been great light for my moble DJing. They show some wear but work great. They are all loaded with the high end Phillips bulbs that pretty much last forever. As you can see in the second to last pic I have a dab of RTV on each bulb to hold it in place. I was having trouble with them unscrewing durring transportation so this did the trick. In the last pic you can see the gel frame retainer( is broken off. It's broken on 2 of these and they are going to be the last 2 to ship. It would have gone on top of the gas pump and had a sign covering the bulbs. I don’t have the sign, but if you have one, you could bring it back to its original purpose. If not, there are so many other possibilities with this unique item. As you can see from the photos. The original cord is gone and I just spliced a cord to show that it was working. There is no cord included except what is left of the original cord. The entire lamp is approx. 16 inches wide. Each individual hole where the bulbs are located is about 5 ¼ inches from rim to rim. From top to bottom is stands approx. 19 inches and at the deepest point front to back it is approx. 8 ½ inches. No maker that we could find, but looks like a Chicago manufacturer and may be signed under the plate that holds the arms in place. Bare bulb. Flush mount. Arms light down. Bobeches have raised shields. A hammered design all over, twisted stems and dentil detail on the ceiling cap. Should be rewired of course- looks like original cloth covered electrical. Sockets look OK. Measures 5" high so perfect in arts crafts bungalow or any low ceiling period house. Ceiling cap or canopy is 6" in diameter and the extreme width is about 21" No issues to report. Vintage Wrought Iron & Cast Aluminum Chandelier, w/ Eight Bulb Band of Lights
If you want unique. You've got it here. This large chanelier is made of wrought iron, stamped tin and cast aluminum, then painted a very retro burnt orange,and it works(the look and the lights) There is a circular band of eight lights in the middle which move a little, independantly with the rest of the piece. It's a bit of a mystery how this was assembled, but basically the cast aluminum pieces were screwed into the wrought iron sections and the stamped tin decorative pieces were welded in place, and all of this hanging from a VERY heavy duty(tow) chain. There are stamps or sticker on it so I can't say when or by whom it was made, but I'm guessing made in America and made to last. It measures 18"W x 37 1/2"T,a great old piece. Mid-Century Modern Hanging Light Fixture Polished Aluminum Three Bulb Socket
For your consideration a late 1940's early 1950's polished aluminum hanging ceiling light fixture. Contains a Triboro 3-bulb socket. The makers label has long since gone but possibly made by Moe Light Co. It has been a display and is the final inventory of a store closing its doors after 75 years in business. Great mid-century polished aluminum form. Nice over a dining table or in a kitchen. Measures about 19 inches in diameter and is about 12 inches tall including the 3" finial. The polished steel chain is 46 inches long with a wire and plug attached. It can be hard wired into a box if you prefer. There are no dings or dents that I can see and only mild brush scratches that can be polished out with a buffer. There is some mild flaking of white paint in one area of the inside. This is a USED set of traffic signal reflectors. They are what is removed from a signal head to install the led modules. So if you are reversing the process these will bring it back to a more vintage state and make it easier to reduce the light intensity if using in a home(just install a lower watt bulb) These have the cast aluminum frame and polished aluminum reflector with the short length of wire coming from the socket. I don't know the model of housing this came from so look closely at the photos to be sure this fits what you have before ordering.
