Turkish brass & copper 3 bell Camel bells 14 1/2" long, Bells 6.25", 3.5", 2.75"
Here is one of the sets of the tri-bell camel bells put on the various Turkish camels so the owner could tell which ones were where as the bells all have different sounds to them as all the bells vary. This set of 3 bells is one of the loudest. Lowest tones as the bells are some of the largest size. The outside bell is 6 1/4" middle bell is 3 1/2" and the smallest inside bell is 2 3/4" The brass bells are all hand made and inscribed with"s cratches" or so they look. There is no clapper inside the bells. Instead each bell clangs into the other two, making a very interesting series of sounds. They normally aren't in any sort of pitch or chord, but what a racket, and each series of bells has a unique sound all it's own. The copper stem is very thick to hold the weight of the bells. And very sturdy as most camels ... moreare not very graceful when they do anything. Please no hate mail from camel owners) I'm listing several this week. And all vary greatly in their sounds. LOVELY SET OF 3 MEXICAN TALAVERA POTTERY FLOWER POTS/PLANTERS 3.25", 2.5", 1.75"
Offered at auction is this lovely set of 3 pottery flower pots/planters from the state of Talavera in Mexico! The pots vary in size as follows: 3 1/2" tall with a 3 1/2" diameter opening. 2 1/2" tall with a 2 1/2" diameter opening and 1 3/4" tall with a 1 3/4" diameter opening. The largest pot appears to have a small dab of cobalt blue under the clear glaze on the inside rim. The middle pot appears to have a cobalt blue paint smudge under the glaze on the inside wall as well as cobalt blue paint flakes under the clear glaze on the inside bottom. The smallest pot appears to be in great condition. Once filled with real or artificial cacti, flowers, etc. the previously mentioned flaws, that apparently occurred during the actual making of the pieces, will no longer be visible. The outside measurement is 3 ¾ inches across. The inside measurement is 2 ¼ inches. It’s very hard to read my ruler but it may 1/16 th an inch wider. Not sure.
