After some research I have come to the conclusion I would never want to test it, although it looks in perfect condition. The screw in light bulb heater comes with the original fixture and is being sold as one unit. The manufacturer is not identified but it says on the separate base"Made in USA" has the number"3983" the"UL" initials and is marked"250W 250V" The cone shaped heating element that screws in says on the lip"1000W 115V" I kid you not. It says 1000 watts. There is also the letter"L" on the side of the cone. It measures 5 1/2" tall including the base. And about 4" just for the heating element, which is 3" in diameter. Attention-getter at about 15 inches measured across. Runs& works perfect, quiet, and keeps accurate time. Case is in great shape showing only mild wear at best. The face and real bubble glass is as close to mint as you'll find. It is complete with original factory sticker on back which indicates maker. It has faded and yellowed over the years making it difficult to read. Original light bulb covers are intact and very nice. This clock did not have light bulbs in it when discovered. 1948 American-Standard Heating Cocker Spaniel Sink Bath Hufford Art Vintage Ad
From a 1948 issue of The Saturday Evening Post, this is a fun-loving. Colorful advertisement painted by Hufford for American-Standard Heating and Plumbing showing a brother and sister giving their patient ly enduring cocker spaniel a bath. Nicodemus David Hufford III(1915–1986) The son of a minstrel and vaudeville comedian, was born in Columbus, Ohio. In the 1930s he studied his chosen profession at the Chicago Art Institute. The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts, and the Chicago Professional School and American Academy, and in the early 1940s he served an apprenticeship under two top illustrators, Haddon Sundblom and Harry Anderson. Hufford has painted portraits of a number of leading American families. Including the Rockefellers, du Ponts, and Dukes, and his work hangs in many homes in the United States and abroad. STANDARD OIL HOME HEATING OIL ID TAG-EXTREMELY RARE
This small Standard Oil id tag is very rare to say the least. I was in the business 26 years and never saw any. Non affixed, except for the ones I have. They were affixed to the home heating oil pipe on the outside of the building so the driver on the tanker knew which one of the filler pipes was Standard Oils. These were never used, believe me the ones that were look like crap and were badly worn and hard to identify. They are about the size of a quarter, small but extremely important, you did not want to put heating oil in the wrong pipe. Ships for free to lower 48. Up for sale is a Standard Oil Heating Oil Calculator that was used to calculate how much fuel oil would cost you over a winter. This item is in great condition. Clear plastic cover with Stand Oil sign and words in Red white and blue. Item looks yellowed in picture, but it is not, if you look closely you will see the numbers are showing through. Card that slides through the cover is excellent also and has a copyright date on it of 1957. Measures 8inches by 4inches approx. Nice old Oil company collectible.
