With a Pat. date of May 4 1915. the pad measures aprox 7 5/8" x 9 5/8" x 1 1/2" There are some minor scratches and a small dent but for its age it is in really good shape. Up for auction is a vintage/retro heating pad made by Casco Products Corporation in Bridgeport. Connecticut. My guess it's 1960's with the beautifully coiffed lady in pearls on the box. The black switch with pink dial has 3 settings and is in braille. The box is missing the end flap on one end and measures approximately 12" long x 7 1/2" wide x 2 1/2" high and the heating pad measures approximately 16' x 10" with a soft cloth covering. It still works but I wouldn't advise using it but rather it makes a great display item for your collection or in a salon. I have been selling on eBay for 15 years and I have 100% positive feedback. This is a vintage Landers Frary and Clark Universal heating pad hinged lid Tin box. This tin shows some age. Some paint wear, some age spotting, some minor rust, and three or four minor dents on the lid which is double walled. The print on the inside of the box is in excellent shape. I am not real sure how old this is but the cool old knob/ switch thing has got to be bakelite and I think Gamble-Skogmo turned into just Gambles. I guess that was in the 60's since I remember Gambles as a kid. we had a Gambles in my home town so I think its probably from there too. Minnesota Company Just for display. I wouldn't trust the heating pad, but the cover is real nice, don't know if that is original but was found with it. Its the Really cool old bakelite knob I think is so cool. Cant think of how I could re-use, repurpose it, Maybe you can.
