Vintage Fishing Rod Casting Reel Seats Handles J.C. Higgins and Longfellow
These two seats/grips are from vintage casting rods. Both are cast aluminum with good cork grips. The bottom seat is marked LONGFELLOW and FRASER. MICH. It has the standard large'nut' on top: the rod end goes down into the hole and the nut is tightened to hold the rod in place. The top reel seat is marked J.C. HIGGINS and OUR OWN TRADEMARK and SOLD ONLY BY SEARS. ROEBUCK& CO. This seat has a friction fit hole for the rod(no threaded nut) And a thumb lever that holds the reel securely in the seat. Here's a pair of antique. Victorian-era, recessed pocket door pulls in very good condition. They are made of cast bronze and are original, unpolished, and just as they were when they were removed. These handles date back to around 1885 and were made by the Norwalk Lock Company and have the numbers 08844 stamped on the backs. Each measures 2 1/16 inches wide, 5 3/4 inches tall, and 1/2 inch deep. Once cleaned up, these authentic Victorian pocket door pulls will be gorgeous! This is a stunning antique Oak dresser I bought about 30 years ago and have treasured ever since. Solid Oak. It has very unique grape and leaf handles which I had never seen before nor since. They appear like big scratches or gouges) I believe the handles are Bakelite. There is one Drawer Handle which is broken. But can be repaired and you would never know. thank you for your interest! selling eight drawer pulls they measure 26mm. Just over 1" wide x 1.5" long they were used. Some will have paint on them and possibly grease from handling the brass section may be discolored more on some of them than others. I dont see any rust though as for the ball section. Looking at them, I dont see any major scuff marks or cracks and they weigh just under an ounce each. They do clean up well as you will see in the second photo the third and fourth photos are examples i am seeing of the paint and dirt I do have 40 of these in all and will be listing them soon. Pair Samson 19th Century Urns Vases in Chinese Export Style Gold Handles
These were made in the Chinese Export Style which means they were manufactured in France and had a fake Chinese mark on them. The French were trying to copy the Chinese in this instance. Quite ironic. Huh? These are in really good condition. I don't see any cracks, chips or areas of paint loss. The only thing is there is a loose screw in the bottom. The bases are screwed on. I am assuming this is original. The reason I think they are original to the vase is because the base swivels from the top and it is clear the base is a separate piece from the top. There are two marks. one that says"Made in France" and the other is the faux chinese mark. Note the neat heart design on one side. Very romantic. And they are very heavy.
