STEAM BOILER REPLACEMENT PART 1/2" WATER GAUGE VALVE SET Assembly includes 2 valves(top and bottom valve) A 5/8”OD x 7 ¾“L sight glass. And metal guide rods. One of the 2 rubber gaskets is missing. But they are readily available. This water gauge was r emoved from the electric steam boiler of a Getinge Castle 122LS Steam Sterilizer. See my listings for other parts from this unit. Water gauges are required by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Code on steam boilers. And are also useful in many other applications.

What makes this one unique is the side mounted sight glass mounted on the side and the Massachusetts measure stamped on the side. The condition of the oil can is"as-is" as seen in the pictures. 2 Lunkenheimer SIGHT GLASS GAUGE Hit-N-Miss Farm Tractor Steam Engine
These two Sight Glasses do not appear to have been used. I call them used because each of the glasses is chipped on one end(Pic. 8& 10) The glass is not cracked all the way through. The glass tube is 3/4" in diameter and 4 1/4" long. The brass tube(outside) thread is a tad shy of 7/8" The tube is 3 1/2" long and the glass housing is 4 1/2" long. Antique Hit & Miss Sight Glass Breather Oiler Engine Steam Boiler IH M Tractor
Hit and Miss Stationary Engine Site Glass Oiler or Condensate Water Trap and Air Intake Breather Filter Oiler is of unknown brand. I did brief search of patent# and came up empty. Patent number on oiler door appears to be 33015. The 5 is a bit swiggly, could also be a 3 or 6. The casting mark on breather T appears to be IH or IM. Diameter of oiler is 1- 1/4" Length of the whole oiler. Top nut to threaded fitting end, is 3" The casting web. Inside breather was a rough casting and is not broken, threading holds screw. These two items were found the way you see them on a shelf in my barn. I'm not sure if they were always together, or what they were mounted on, the person who set them there has passed on. Antique Vintage Boiler Blow Down Valve and Site Glass Manifold Assembly. For restoration parts or artistic manifestation. There is no sight glass tube. I broke it, trying to remove it. Tube packing nuts are functional now. Outside diameter of sight glass shows 11/16" Weight 35 pounds. 27" long. Main body of cylinder is 3- 3/4" diameter. Bottom sight glass valve is full of sediment and froze up. Top valves turn proper. One of the blow down valves only turns a half a turn. The other two turn proper. There is no sight glass tube. I broke it, trying to remove it. Tube packing nuts are functional. Outside diameter of sight glass shows 11/16" Whole assembly 30 pounds. 4+ of that weight is the valves. 20- 3/4" long. Main body of cylinder is 3- 3/4" diameter. Bottom sight glass valve is full of sediment and froze up. Top valve turns proper. One of the blow down valves only turns a half a turn. The other two turn proper. All valves most likely have some sediment in them. If this assembly were to be used under pressure, valves would need restored. Nothing on assembly tested under pressure. Valve and top threads are all in good shape. With some ... moreboiler putty, rust and sediment in the main body bottom threads.
