There are light surface scratches on the handle and body of the magnifier from cleaning and or use. There are also very fine and light surface scratches on the lens also from what looks like cleaning or the lens. The scratches are hard to see unless you tip the glass at just the right angle with light shining on the lens. This is a water sight glass for a steam boiler. I purchased it new. It worked well when I used it and there does not seem to be anything wrong with it. Its a little dirty but the crud inside the sight glass cleans up by it self when you fire up the engine. The glass is NOT stained. All the threads and valves work as they should There is some overspray pain on the brass which would clean off. And the brass will polish up nicely with a little work.

It even has the boiler sight glass. It was retrofitted with a pressure gauge(which is actually very cool! at some point in time. The wheel spins and the piston freely moves. The brass boiler is in excellent condition with a nice original patina. Signed in embossed letters"WEEDEN" It's a great looking heavy duty machine and is in excellent condition.
