I work as a plumber/ pipefitter and often times when old mechanical rooms and systems are upgraded the old parts are scrapped in a big dumpster for metal. I personally recovered this from an old boiler room. The threaded fittings on the remote bulb can be used for immersion in a liquid. The temperature gauge can be mounted a good distance from the probe and connects via the braided line. Overall it is in good condition physically showing typical age related wear. The black metal housing has some light scuffs. Scrapes, surface ... morerust, etc. Presented"as found" with the original dust and dirt. We see the back side of the glass could use a cleaning. The glass can be removed. A great piece for repurpose. It appears to be a working item as we put it in the freezer and the needle did respond. With this type of probe the response time is a bit slow and wasn't designed for quick temperature swings. We do not know for sure how accurate it actually is. We suspect it is close. Designed to surface mount having three holes in the base plate. The gauge face measures 6 1/4" diameter, the base measures 7 1/2" diameter, it is 2" thick overall. The temperature probe is approx. 8" long. Please look closely at the photos as the photos are integral to our description and is the best depiction of condition. Thanks for looking. There isn't any physical damage to report. The heavy metal body looks to be in good condition. The face doesn't have cracks or chips. I'm not for sure if this is a liquid or gas/steam type of gauge. You'll have to determine that. Gauge measures pressure 0- 4000. On the bottom of the face is has. Marshalltown IOWA USA Mfg Co. Measures 4-7/8" across the front. A little over 4" front to top of fittiing. The in-flow hole in the fitting measures nearly 3-16" across. It's heavy. Weighs nearly 2 pounds.

Old Fisher Guage made by the Marshalltown Mfg. Co. Of Iowa Nice piece for Steampunk. Industrial decorative uses Focusing on quality and innovation for over 120 years. Marshalltown Company has grown to become one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction tools. The needle does move but otherwise this is intended for use as a decorative item. The gauge is old and saw heavy shop or industrial use. Some surface rust ans scratches and nicks in the paint on the casing. Also some nicks. Spots, dust and scratches ... moreon the case over the dial. But the gauge is intact with no cracks. Along the edge of the dial the paint is starting to flake. This is neat old Marshalltown MFG Co gauge. I do not know what kind of gauge. Train Engine RR? The gauge is marked Marshalltown MFG Co. Marshalltown. IA Made in USA. It is untested. The gauge reads 0-200. The top is brass and is 7 1/4" in diameter. The Bottom is cast the bottom and is 7 3/4" in diameter. Has a mounting bracket. And a large Nut on the cable for where it would screw into a tank I assume. Glass is intact with very little scratching. Needs cleaned if you like you steam punk shiny, or if you're the kind that likes things the way they came out of the barn then it is good to go. Up for auction is a Vintage Marshalltown Temperature Gauge. 40- 150 degree Fahrenheit. Glass face measures 4" and black portion of gauge measures 5-7/8" Glass and gauge face in nice condition. Black outer portion of gauge could use a little paint. Tested in cool water and then out in the sun and the gauge worked, don't know how accurate, but it did work. Cool old thermometer. Vintage Marshalltown Iowa Square Pressure Gauge, Antique Steam Punk Hot Rat Rod
This is a old 30 lb. Marshalltown Gauge Co. pressure gauge. In good condition, with broken glass and age appropriate patina. The glass is easily and cheaply replaced or leave it as is. The sweep arrow incorporates the arrow on the end, and fancy point. Please ask any needed questions, this is sure to be a welcome addition to the collection.

Up for bid is a: Steampunk Gauges- lot of 2 Description: The first gauge is 3.5" wide. It says Marsha lltown. Iowa, U.S.A. Mfg, Inc. I think the stem is brass because a magnet doesn't stick to it. In good used condition. The second gauge is 2.5" wide. It says Hoyt E lectrical Instrument Works. Model 627, Starter Current Indicator.
