Vintage Wagner Theater Movie Marquee Sign Big Letters Reads Capital D 10" Old
Up for bid is a Vintage Wagner Theater Marquee Sign. It is of the letter D. It is made out of some kind of heavy metal. It is marked on it back Wagner Sign Service Inc. The paint on the letter is worn. You can leave it as it is and enjoy the patina or you can go ahead and paint it any color you like. It measures 10 inches. There are two breaks where the letter would have been hung up. Please look at my pictures as I have shown the breaks. RARE Art Nouveau ironwork bank sign. Letters.Typography. Architectural salvage.
An amazing and rare piece. Ideal for any collector of Art Nouveau. Ironwork, typography, or banking memorabilia. This piece came from a bank in the UK. I have personally had it in my collection for the past 15 years and have never seen anything remotely like it. The level of craftsmanship is stunning. Patina is what you would expect on a piece over 100 years old. The gold paint still very intact. This piece deserves to be in an ironwork museum. Per the typographic style. I assume it was originally created for the exterior of a bank during the Art Nouveau movement, 1890-1910. Unfortunately, I have no idea what bank that may have been. Size: 25" x 15" Weight: 14lbs. It has some obvious wear and tear. You can see it does not lie completely flat and that the top left bar and bottom right bar are slightly bent. Vintage AURANIA CLUB Albany New York Metal Marquee Sign Letters Estate Sale Find
This is a great set of(11) vintage marquee letters from the building of the Albany. New York"AURANIA CLUB" found at a local estate sale of a former president of the Club. Nine of the letters are painted black cast aluminum metal& two have been replaced with wooden letters(one"U" I" which also have chippy black paint. The Aurania Club was founded in 1902 in response to an unwanted proposed building of the Hospital of the Incurables in their Pine Hills neighborhood. The group raised funds to buy the disputed site. The family members conducting the estate sale reportedly considered placing these marquee letters from the building that once housed the"Aurania Club" with the local Historic Preservation group, but here they are up for auction. Up for auction are vintage electric sign letters that used to spell" yes. It's a sony" As you can see there is an A and a S missing. The letters are 11" to 11.5" high. For reference the O letter is 12.75" wide and 11" high. All the letters are 3" deep. The letters are used so there are a few nicks and dings but overall they are in good shape as seen by the pictures. One side of the i is slightly pushed in but can easily be bent back. I will have to mail the O letter in a different package due to shipping costs. The next size box is 20x20x20 which takes the shipping thru the roof with the weight of 23 lbs. This is a group of plastic sign letters which were removed from a local merchant. There are 13 letters in total. 6 inches tall and 3-D type with depth of about 3/4 of an inch. There are mounting bosses on the back with plastic pads that would have been glued to a mounting surface. There are traces of old hot melt glue on these. The sign available in this listing is: CHERI AVE. Offered for sale is an authentic used DOT grade metal street sign. Construction is heavy stamped steel with raised letters. We also have other signs available. Most of which are embossed steel and a few others which are aluminum sheets with black letters on a reflective background. These signs were acquired from various municipalities in Wisconsin and Minnesota when they were retired from service and replaced with new signs. This is a very cool Stop Sign rug I received as a gift about 35-40 years ago and have never used. The black outline and letters are raised about 1/4 inch above the red background. This rug could work well in a kids or also and adult kids room! Lots of appropriate places to use this one! The rug is very heavy with substantial rubberized back. I don't know what the material is. Custom Made Wood Sign Of License Plate Letters And Numbers - Mancave Art
These are one-of-a-kind custom made wooden signs for your man-cave. Garage, rec room, etc. Signs are made by cutting up recycled license plates and attaching(nailing) the letters and numbers to a piece of painted or stained wood. Each sign will have a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy hanging. Both the wood and the characters are sanded and smoothed as much as possible(without affecting the natural appearance) before"assembly" so that this piece of art does not have any sharp edges. Your sign can be made to say anything you would like: your name. Kid's names(for bedroom signs) sports teams, sayings, phrases, titles, etc. The possibilities are endless as you can order signs that say pretty much anything you want. The cost is only $4.50 per character. With end pieces and spaces included at no charge. When possible, I use a ... morefirst or last letter from the original plate for the end pieces so that you don't need a separate end piece.
