Up for sale is an old ALUMINUM channel letter. n" This letter had neon inside at one time but is now removed. Holes and mounting brackets are inside for neon tubing to be replaced if desired, otherwise brackets can be removed easily. This letter measures approx. 12 in tall. 5 in thick, 10 in wide. 7 Vintage Heavy Silver Metal Letters From Sign Spell PLAYBOY Playboy Enterprises Everything that I am listing this week is from the flea market. And from an auction that we went to. There’s lots and lots of variety, and nifty stuff too- so I hope you enjoy! O.K. So here's the story on these. I puschased these 7 letters at the flea market from a dealer who told me he had bought them at an auction. He actually had 18 letters total- from what he was told was an original sign that spelled out"Playboy Enterprises. He couldn't give me any other information- as in where they were from, etc. But these are HEAVY metal(each one weighing between 3/4 lb and 1 lb) letters that a magnet does not stick to- each one having a shiny chrome like finish on the front. They are so shiny they are almost mirror-like in appearance. Now, I totally talkedandtalkedandtalked ... morehim out of just the PLAYBOY letters, as I wasn't interested in the ENTERPRISES- I think he sold them to me just to get rid of me, and knowing full well that he could still sell the letters individually. All that being said, what I have in this listing are 6 capital letters, spelling out the word PLAYBOY. Each letter is 4" tall and they range in width from 3 1/4" to 3 3/4" depending on the letter. The metal is thick- 1/4" on each, and each one has two threaded spikes/screws coming out of the backside the measure 1" long. The screws all have residue that looks like some type of stone- cement-like in feel and appearance- from when they were mounted. All with stand on a table independently straight except the O, as the screws are on the left and right side rather than top/bottom, so it will tip back or forward unless it is resting with at least one side touching one of the letters- when it does- as in my photos, it will stand straight. Here is a great set of Goodyear Tire letters and winged foot. The letters were made to hang in a Goodyear tire shop. The letters are made of a light weight extruded PVC called Sintra. The letters measure 8" tall and the winged shoe is 21 1/2" long all letters are 1/2" thick they come with places to mount attached and the mounting screws. They are in great shape never hung. This auction is for a for 6 Porcelain 21 1/2" metal letters that spell the word TEXACO. They are 2.18 mm thick. The widest letter is the letter A and it is 23 1/2" wide at the bottom of the A legs. The pictures show them displayed on my patio and that display is 10' 5" long. Each letter is red porcelain on the front and black porcelain on the back. They are not bent or any dents. A couple may not lay exactly flat but still does not deter from their looks. Vintage GOODYEAR Porcelain Sign Letters 18 1/2" Tall With 32 Mounting Bolts
All letters are around 18 1/2" tall and 20" wide. These letter were used so normal light scratches and a few chips. the worst ones being on the first letter O and on the R. The backs are blue porcelain too with light rusting around. I believe the scratches and rusting can be polished out. I am luck to get the mounting bolts for these. So they are included too. Approx: 55“ Long x 11“ Tall I’ve recently come across a stash of hand lettered signs from the 50s. These used signs are on steel. These are NOT new old stock. These were used by 2 local franchises that left the area in the mid-60s. The paint is faded. Most have at least some rust, some have flaking and ALL are very cool with a great patina. Scott Signgraver SM300 tag/sign engraver pantograph w/ 1000+ letters etc Scott Signgraver model SM300 engraving pantograph with lots of letters and accessories. This engraver has lots of accessories including the original 15 page manual. Over 1000 letters in different sizes, 11 letter trays, extra clamping bars and guides, additional cutters and more as shown. This seems in good condition with some minor wear and soil from storage. This engraver measures about 24 1/2 inches wide on the work guide and 22 inches deep front to back. The motor is rated for 20.000 no load rpm, 117 volts and 0.5 amp. There are about 8 different sizes of letters and about 24 assorted cutters. The letter sets look to include at least one of each letter or number(assuming that 1/I. O/0 and M/W are interchangeable) except the the largest 3-5/8" size which is missing ... moreat least Z. There are also an assortment of punctuation characters and symbols in the different sizes. We don't know much about this and if you have questions. Please ask. This will have to be disassembled for shipping and so assembly will be required. BIG 4 Foot X 2 Foot COCA COLA Menu Board Coke Sign w Letters & Numbers NICE
Here is a NICE big Coca Cola menu board for sale. This is 4 feet wide and just under 2 feet tall and in very good condition. 1 small hole on right side as seen in pic#3. Some scuff marks around the edge, but still a very nice solid sign. It was made by Summit Plastics Inc. in New York, most likely from the 1990's. Nice and clean and all the letters and numbers on the board are included. Stickers are in tact with no rips or tears, the bottom sticker has a couple bubbles. Original Porcelain Shell Oil Sign Individual Letters
One original porcelain Shell oil sign made up of individual letters.I am not sure how this was on the service station but the first picture shows how I had it on my shop using 2"x2" wood.I mounted the wood to the signs and then the wood to the shop.Each letter has mounting holes on top and bottom on the inside.The yellow paint is simply over spray or brushed on during a paint job and will clean off.All letters have at least one chip in the porcelain but the S is the worst and not very bad.Letters placed end to end and touching.Sign measures 71 1/4" over all so how far you space them will determine the finished sign.All letters are 15 1/8" tall and 1" front to rear.Each letter is different individual width.S-15 1/8"H-15 1/16"E-13 3/4" and L-13 1/4" Stacked alone the letters weigh 22 pounds so with ... morepackaging I am estimating 28 pounds.Sold as is,ask before bidding.Sorry but no combined shipping due to weight.
