Vintage STREET NAME SIGN with raised letters
Wow! When was the last time you've seen one like this. I'm guessing that this sign goes back tothe early 1900's. The old timer I got this sign from told me that the raised letters were made out of babbet. I never heard of it before this but he's probably right. The heavy metal double sided sign is 23"x4.5" and weighs 6lbs. The raised letters are 3" tall and about 1/4" thick. Please refer to the pictures which are of each side and a top view.

vintage old Porcelain GULF letters sign with original frame oil gas
Pretty nice Gulf sign here folks.Measures about 64 inches long from end of frame to end of frame.Letters stand about 12 inches tall.PERFECT size! This is not perfect. Yet is in WONDERFUL condition and would look great in any collection! The F does have a chip and some scratches.The other letters are intact with minor wear.Frame has a couple of chips.Porcelain is nice and shiny! DESCRIPTION Antique vintage metal wall sign letters. The letters are"R" and"V" They are dark blue and have holes for attaching to the wall on the back. DIMENSIONS The letters are 10 1/4" tall. The"R" is 7" wide and the"V" is 8 1/2" wide. CONDITION The"R" has a bit of rust at the lower center. It has a few small green paint spots on the left center and a little bit of filmy discoloration to the painted surface; the"V" has one or two spots of filmy discoloration.
