Having owned seven bars in my time. I knew the time would come, and it has, this is something I really hate to do, but I need to sell some of my extensive collection of signs including this pair of Man& Women lighted electric accent lamps that I hand hung up in front of the restrooms. These signs measure 6" square x 6 1/8" deep. Both signs are made of 100% in a box shape with a cut-out in the front with a plastic shade attached on the back that depicts a Lady figure on one and Man figure on the other. Both signs have very long 7" cords that have ON/OFF switches, and I had them plugged into ceiling outlets but these can be easily converted to hard wire. Both of the faces have some surface scuffs and scratches but the tops do have corrosion which when hung up you would not be able to see the tops. Up for Auction is a Vintage Mobilgas Dealer Restroom Sign The sign measures 9 inches by six and a half inches and is made of wood with a painted overlay on it. This is not a reproduction. It is an antique! My uncle retired from Mobil and I am selling many of his vintage collectibles that he kept in his collection. The sign is in great shape. There are some minor scrapes and blemishes and the wood has darkened due to age. There are instructions on the back of the sign for mounting however the actual mounting material has long since came off. You can just picture this hanging on the bathroom door in an era when customer service mattered. I do not know what year this was made. However it is very old I was told 1930's-1950's estimate. AND NICE IT IS,JUST VERY, VERY, VERY LITTLE WEAR,MINTY CONDITION.
