Photos 3-6 are an attempt to show the main areas of wear. The flavor strips are homemade cutouts on thin. Glossy paper. They give the sign a finished look but can be discarded if the buyer chooses. This salvage piece started life as a 1930s era card table. We removed the bent legs and rust. Added some fresh paint and then added a new blackboard that not only looks good by works great! The benefit of this one is the frame is METAL. Which means you have a dual purpose communications area- chalkboard and you can display important papers via magnets! These chalkboards are hand painted. A custom chalkboard needs to have a good writing surface as well as the ability to erase well; it has to be smooth enough to write on and gritty enough to erase well. Nice vintage 1960s Pepsi Cola lighted sign with menu board to the right of the logo. Lighting works great. Plastic Pepsi logo has a crack down the middle buy doesn't affect its character too much at all. Hardly noticeable when lit or not lit. Crack on bottom edge of logo also but no losses and could beglued back to original. Doesn't detract from the image in the least.Heavy duty commercial construction by Tel A Sign Chicago. Illinios. Very little tarnishing to the brassy areas. Back is galvanized metal. Nice vintage sign.
