The cork butt is very clean, if it has been used it has been very little. This the rod only no shipping tube or sock is included. This is a Boron Graphite contruction fly rod made by he RL Winston Fly Rod company in Twin Bridges Montana. Winston IM6 Graphite 7' 2 weight 2 pc. fly rod in excellent condition. A beautiful rod that is truly a joy to cast and fish in small wild trout streams. These rods were the predecessors to the WT line and were some of the best rods made by Winston. The rod is excellent condition with no damage to blank or reel seat. The rod has been fished and has minimal wear. I have started to fish with bamboo rods and find that I use my graphite rods less and less so it is time to thin the herd. The rod will be shipped with the original cloth bag and Winston rod tube as shown in pics.

Here is a boy’s student class ring in 10K yellow gold dated 1925 from the Winston Salem High School located in Winston Salem. NC. The ring is in fair used vintage condition as pictured. There are surface chips on the black stone which surrounds the golden school crest. It appears the ring may have been sized judging by the surface crack at the bottom center of the ring. The inside of the gold band is inscribed with the marker’s mark which appears to be H.J. CO INDPLS, which stands for the Herff Jones Co. of Indianapolis. In addition it’s stamped 10K with the student’s initials VAL. I don’t know the ring size but as you can see from the last picture provided it’s finger diameter is just larger then the size of a dime. Winston Pre-IM6 Graphite 9'0" 9wt 2pc Fly Rod This rod from Winston holds a historic part of the company as their first series of graphite builds. The rod holds the San Francisco Winston cup logo. But was finished in Montana after the company was purchased by Tom Morgan. These rods do not have serial numbers. The handwriting on the rod(size, length, etc. was likely done by Tom Morgan himself. We were in contact with Winston directly for these answers to this particular rod. The rod itself is in decent condition for its age. The handle has no pieces of cork missing. Etc. The handle half of the rod has a fair amount of light scratches/scuffs, nothing that affects the rod- purely aesthetic. The top half is in great condition- a few light scratches/scuffs here and there but again only aesthetic related. One of the two leather snaps from ... morethe rod sock came off, but is included. R L Winston Boron IIT B2T fly rod 7'6" 3 weight 3wt 4 piece I am the original owner of this rod. I sent the warranty card in and have fished it over 100 times. This rod is in decent/good condition. I bought this rod at a discount from a Winston dealer in 2011. When I recieved the rod there were multiple scuffs. Scratches around the area between the stripping guide and the next closest snake guide. Some of the scratches are only in the green coating, but some go through into the graphite. I hand polished the blank with a mild cleaner wax and it looked alot better, as it does now. If not for this detail I would rate the condition higher. My starting price reflects this) I have done my best to show these scratches in the pics. You have to look close to see them, as the only show up in the closeups. I have fished this rod at least 100 ... moretimes and it's caught literally hundreds of fish and I've never had a problem with the scratches. I've caught plenty of bass with it with small poppers and 8-13lb tippet too. I also removed the original cork grip and reel seat. The original cork was dirty and had alot of filler in it. The seat was the ugliest Winston seat I've ever seen. This rod must have had a hard life on the rack of the fly shop. I probably would not have bought it if I knew what it looked like. I made the cork grip out of"flor" 1/4" rings. And the slide band seat is from Golden Witch. The hardware I am told was from a run of prototype seats that I've yet to see them produce for regular sale, pretty unique. The wood insert is Zebra and the slide band seat weighs a full half ounce less than the original Winston seat. The seat fits a Hardy Lightweight perfectly. The Flyweight balances it best, but a Featherweight looks alot better on it. The rod has not been fished much the past year so it is time to let her go. This is a 2pc 8' 4wt(actually a 3.5wt according to Tom Morgan through our many discussions) it's also a 2 oz. downlocking model. Walnut spacer with the stainless steel Winston reelseat. It was made March 7, 1995, SN: 36235. Because I'm a backpacking fly fisherman, I've only fished it a few times in it's early years or ownership. It's in beautiful condition, can almost say it's glows as Winston green new. Well taken care of, as I lawn cast it sometimes, so the cork is slightly soiled but in beautiful shape as well. I thought it best not to clean the cork. Comes with the Winston Sock and Tube.
