I have a used AVET MXJ reel that is in great condition. This one is in the rare Red color that is normally a $30 upgrade on any MXJ. The reel has recently been serviced by me to include light film coat of grease on all metal internals. Excellent condition. I would give it a 9 rating out of 10. The only flaws are scratches on the black handle and extremely tiny almost invisible scratches on the side. I do not have a clamp or box and the reel has only been used on 5 outings.

4 almost brand new Avet Lx 6.0:1. These reels were bought less than a year ago to be used on my private sport fishing boat. I had a reel smith put new cams and updated drag washers in all four. These reels have a 6 to 1 gear ratio extremely fast retrieving rate. I only used these reels on maybe five trips there isnt a scratch or evidence of wear and tear on any of the reels. These reels have caught tunas. Sails, white and blue marlins. These reels are extremely good for deep dropping because of the high gear ratio. these reels go for $250 a piece new. looking to get rid of them to make more shelf space. there currently is new suffix 20# High- Viz line on the reels.

Avet SX 5.3 MC Casting Reel Orange Lever Drag w/Braid!
This is a great little reel. Ive caught several 100lb Thresher Sharks with this little machine and its still got alot of life in it. This is a well used reel. Well maintained and fished frequently. It functions great, has an aftermarket"Kodiak Cam" in it from Avet that makes for a smoother drag curve. It needs some lube and a new Clicker Wheel from Avet as many long runs while trolling before the clicker was turned off have lead to some wear on that plastic part, its an easy replacement i just haven't ordered the part from Avet. Clicker still works as is but when the reel is in"Full" you can hear the clicker as the handle is turned. Not a mechanical issue but it can get annoying. Hard to find"Orange" color w/ magnetic cast control. I routinely cast 4-6oz lures 100yds+ with these reels to breaking fish and ... morehave never had a backlash using the cast control even on the lowest setting. I am selling because I no longer desire to have the magnetic cast control feature and this is the last MC Avet in my arsenal. The reel comes loaded with 20lb Fireline smoke and an approkimatley 80yd topshot of mono.

For sale here is a used Avet JX Raptor 2-Speed 6/3 with Magic Cast in the Limited Edition Raptorskin finish. Included are an Avet aftermarket Velcro cover. The original box, little CD, allen wrench, nut wrench and oil. This reel is like new both in appearance and mechanically. This reel was just returned to me with my other Avet’s from the factory and Avet’s annual maintenance program where they go through the entire reel, clean, lubricate and replace anything necessary and automatically replace bearings(See attached receipt. This reel has 300 yards 50/lb. Izorline solid braid and approximately 130 yards of 40/lb. Momoi Clear Mono. The Avet JX Raptor 6/3 as 28lbs. of drag at strike and 38 pounds at full– more than a Shimano TLD 50 and half the size. I bought two of these three years ago– one for a relative to use that fished with me often- ... moreand I simply don’t need two now so I just picked one out to sell(I have 5 other Raptors and a T-RX so I am an Avet guy) I have probably fished this reel a dozen times. I have caught Roosterfish- to 100 pound Yellowfin Tuna- to 8’ Striped Marlin with this JX Raptor. It is probably the most diverse and best all-around reel Avet makes. You can drift. Troll, jig or cast with this reel. Casting it is a no brainer with the Magic Cast feature even if you are not great casting level-winds. I didn’t know how I would like the Raptorskin finish but after using it. I wish they still made it. It is even prettier in the sunlight. People stop me on the dock to look at it. It doesn’t get hot from the black flecks and doesn’t reflect from the gold& silver/blue flecks. Even though this reel doesn’t have a mark on it, the other one I’m keeping has more use and you cannot see minor wear and scratches on the surface like a solid color reel. I asked Avet where this finish pattern originated. They ask me if I had seen Jurassic Park and said it was made to imitate the skin on a Velociraptor. It just so happens that my neighbor. avet sx casting reel - custom knobby mag - No Reserve!
Up for auction is a avet sx that I put a custom knobby mag on.this is the older version sx. I have done 6 like this and all worked very well. I moved. So I know longer had the boxes and reel clamps.I guess I lost them in the move. I have included 4 extra mags(2 small and 2 large) for the plate inside the reel. This is how I mag controlled it first then decided to install a knobby. If your a competent caster. You should not need the extra mags for the side plate when using the knob but if you are a little worried about blowing it up, you can add a mag to the inside of the plate(see pic of plate) A competent caster should not have to use the mags for the plate when using the knob. I found it slow when casting with the knob at its closest setting. Some may even be able to cast it without any mag control.not me. The mag tends fall of the knobby ... moreafter about 2 months. I have yet figured how to permanently attach the mag to the screw. But it will last a while. I always reattached it about 2 months before it comes off. The mag is super glued(gorrilla grip) to the screw. This reel is in good condition and knobby works well. Mag Control info: In order to adjust the mag.you need to tighten it until it just hits the spool then back it off 45 degrees.do not tighten tight to the spool.you'll know when it hits.you can check when in free spool with a VERY slight pull of the line or rock of the spool.if you do not back it off. The spool will take the mag off when casting and could even damage the spool. You then adjust with each cast.it doesn't take long until you know how many degrees of rotation on the knob you can cast with before blowing it up. Should you decide to use it for boat fishing and not use the mag control. Just use the knobby to seal up the hole. Please note-I started to drill on the side plate.not far at all.
